Best Chinese Subtitle and Translation Tool: Potential for Improvement with More Subtitle Effects and Styles
I have purchased a wide range of products on AppSumo, so deciding to buy a similar software requires careful consideration. I already have no less than one functioning software solution for video subtitle translation. However, due to the nature of my training work, I often need to handle videos in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin and create subtitles in English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. During this process, I sometimes need to use at least two to three different pieces of software to complete translations and create suitable subtitles.
You might think plenty of single software options on the market can handle these tasks. However, many produce subpar translations that require further editing with additional AI tools or manual adjustments. Additionally, some software solutions only offer translations in Simplified Chinese without support for Traditional Chinese. This is why my initial experience with SubEasy.ai brought me quite a pleasant surprise.
Firstly, the interface is very straightforward, making it easy to use immediately. I’ve tried many highly-rated video tools but found their interfaces complex and challenging to navigate. By contrast, SubEasy.ai offers a more user-friendly interface. Although there were a few moments of confusion at the start, I quickly figured it out and resolved the issues.
Secondly, it provides multiple types of translation systems, which means I can test different translation depths without switching to another platform. This makes my workflow more efficient. Thirdly, when it comes to handling Chinese text, it genuinely seems to perform better than other software.
Fourthly, the font choices for subtitles are impressive, even including fonts that closely resemble Chinese characters, which is something other platforms lack. Fifthly, the translation and video generation speed is faster than I expected. I have tried platforms where creating a video would take as long as having a meal, but the operation feels much more efficient here.
Finally, many platforms cannot generate 4K videos, whereas SubEasy.ai offers this capability at Tier 3. Of course, I do not think the software is perfect yet; during my testing, I noticed that some uploaded videos disappeared. However, overall, I believe this is a promising software with potential for further development. I hope they continue improving their strengths, such as audio translation and text processing, and enhance the subtitle effects while allowing users to add custom logos easily.
