Q: Hi Jeanne, Evan and SubHub Team, I'm thinking about stacking 5 codes and have 3 questions: 1.

I want to use SubHub as a Kajabi alternative. Can I do that? Where is SubHub different from Kajabi?
2. In the description above SubHub is stated as an alternative to MemberPress. Why? I think MemberPress is a WordPress plugin. I don’t want to use a WordPress plugin. I need a standalone SaaS tool. I guess, SubHub is the latter and I don't need 3rd party tools, right?
3. You say, SubHub is a turn-key and self-contained tool. I think about stacking 5 codes. But even then I seem to have video limits. I read about 100 MB per video. This would be WAY to low as it is 2-5 minutes HD video. Regarding your Vimeo suggestion in other answers: Given a standalone tool I would explicitly NOT have to use a third party video tool like Vimeo. That would generate additional monthly costs, I would have to handle with different logins and the main differentiator - a turn-key and self-contained tool - would be lost. What I need is a completely worry-free tool with everything under one roof. Can I do that with 5 codes?

A: Hi,

Thanks for your questions! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

1. I think we're a good alternative to Kajabi with much of the same basic functionality. However Kajabi has more bells and whistles. So it really boils down to the functionality you need. I think we differ in a few areas. Their Course builder has more features, they have a built-in email funnel and more third-party integrations. Though we do plan to integrate with Zapier by the end of the year.

2. We are a stand-alone product that allows you to charge for access to your content. You won't need any plugins for that functionality.

3. I understand your point about the video limits. There are a few benefits to host videos on a third party - better permissions, customisation and user experience as the page loads faster. But we do plan to improve our offer with a Vimeo API integration to be completed by end of 2020. Once that is ready, you'll be able to upload all videos, regardless of size, using the editor. They will be hosted on Vimeo but you won't have the extra cost of using that service.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I'm unlcear about the response: "Once that is ready, you'll be able to upload all videos, regardless of size, using the editor. They will be hosted on Vimeo but you won't have the extra cost of using that service."

So when this is ready, we will be able to upload videos of any size directly into Subhub which will then host them without charge vimeo. Is that right? Seems strange that we won't have the vimeo hosting costs?
