I purchased first time round on Appsumo and have to say Subscribr has been great for research and analysis! (I pushed from Tier 1 to Tier 3).

The part I was looking forward to the most was seeing the script writing in action. I had primed it with "my voice", using uploaded transcriptions of my voice notes where I talk freely while journaling. I then used the inspiration / outlier video (that Subscribr research identified) as research input and a "brand voice" document I created which gives parameters for my brand.

I was disappointed that despite the analysis done by Subscribr on my voice style and selecting it in the script generation, the resulting script remained flat and AI-like. It hadn't taken any of the voice analysis patterns and applied them to the script it generated. I tried several times, no luck.

So, I took the script from subscribr and went over to deepseek directly, added my documents and asked it to create a "voice print" based on my transcriptions. Then I asked it to analyse the script from subscribr and give me it's analysis on how well it matched my voice from the voice print it had created.

The result wasn't good. Deepseek stated the subscribr script didn't match my voice but it did say there were some good elements that I could take and apply to a final script it went on to create.

I got it to create a final script using the voice print it created and the analysis of the Subscribr script. The result was 1000% times better. It sounded like me 1st time (I had lost several script credits with Subscribr trying to do this and failing).

I have given this feedback to Subscribr on their Discord and in a number of emails, but I had no reply.

For now, the research and analysis is definitely worth it and the new thumbnail ideation looks great (but I haven't tried it). But I'll stick to a workflow that incorporates Deepseek to apply my voice to my scripts for now.

So for now it's a 4 star for me .
