Could SuiteDash be the one? 🥰

I’ve been searching for a good CRM tool for a very long time.

So when I saw SD on appsumo and saw that it was an alternative to Keap I got pretty excited.

I started with a trial and I’ll be honest I was immediately put off by the UI/UX. Keap may be pricey but it’s clean and modern. It’s organized while Suitedash looked and felt behind.

However, it does have a bit of saving grace by allowing CSS access. With some CSS you can make it look good.

My finished albeit messy CSSified SD: https://ibb.co/fvSR78f

…But…but…but… that doesn’t help with the UX.

So look, feel, ease of use? Halfway there.

The tool itself?

You might think I dislike SD, I had to dunk on it before I send some praises because it really does a lot once you get it set up and working how you want.

I do have a few wishes which I’ll get to in a sec, but so far SD is good on the features, it does exactly what I needed. There’s a lot going on but don’t be put off, take an hour or two and read the docs or watch the videos. The gears in your head will start to turn and you’ll see how deep it is and how you can use it to set up the perfect CRM.

And I say this as someone who has used a few other CRM tools. A few have been on Appsumo. They have either been too simple. (Whaddaya mean no automation?) Too clunky (You know the ones with a thousand and one menus) Or too expensive (we sumo-lings are all about cutting down monthly bills)

So I like that SD has been that good middle ground. Especially now that I have more CRM experience under my belt and I know exactly what I’m looking for.

One kind of silly thing I really loved:

that I can download form submissions as a PDF.

I use forms as applications and that means I can review potential clients on the go. Any custom fields also appear on the contact dashboard.

The Wishlist:

I won’t throw these out as cons because they don’t necessarily bug me enough but instead are some changes + additions I’d be happy to see.

Automations are different: There is no total tool for automation. There are flows for onboarding and on-demand purposes, there are also actions but it seems like they are for separate modules of the CRM.

There’s no visual element to show a full flow in one place, it is connected all over the place— it works but you just don’t see it unless you sift through different menus.

I imagined something like this: https://assets.keap.com/video/upload/v1598466251/keap/keap-pages/homepage/Campaign_Builder_white-bg.webm

Speed: Last, SD is slow, you see this pop up in several reviews because it just is.

Overall, I think I love Suitedash and that’s why I want to be honest about some of the shortcomings I see. The roadmap looks very good, maybe a little too good but I’m willing to camp it out and see just what the SD team are capable of.

I’d say if you’re not fussy about looks and organization like I am it’d be a 5/5 for you. But even if you are, it’s still one to check out. It definitely does more right than it does wrong.
