Not sure if to keep it

First of all I like SuiteDash, but...

- files created with tickets can not be deleted.
This will at some point cause problems. If someone decides to upload tons of files, or even worse a few very big files, your storage is full. In my case my customer deal with big files (1GB and more). So 100GB isn't that much if you want to use it over the next few years. In case customers upload a lot within their tickets..well, not good for me. In case of the GDPR (DSGVO) and the "EU GDPR compliant data deletion" I would need to refund this, as it might cause serious trouble for me. The kind of trouble that kills your business.

- Calendar items can only be deleted by the customer if he takes the way via the tasks area.

- ICS files for calendar appointments came with the wrong timezone, so on android 9:00 am was suddenly 13:00 pm etc.

- no cookie banners, so you will have to implement this somehow on your own (again GDPR)

- I did a translation for german, but I fear if I try to load the existing german translation to check it out, I might lose my own creation of it.

- within the portal my customers can change the language from custom-de to english.
But...english isnt loading. Or I might have messed it up and overwritten the original english with my custom german translation? Only god know...

- still havent found a way how a new customer could register on his own. Isn't a "signup" button a thing anymore?

It is the little things that keep me busy with asking the support for help (sorry for that dear support...).

The good things:
- Finally a product that makes paying easy for customers. I'm also impressed with the invoice creation. The portal is great because you can configure it extensively.

- the magic link makes passwords unnecessary. Great thing I love.

I guess at the current stage it is rather a good deal for non-EU customers.
So a solid 3.5 rounded to 4 out of 5.

Thanks for the kind words, but of course you'll realize that it's my job to be sure that anything said about SuiteDash in public is accurate - and if not accurate, then to help make things more clear. So, thanks for giving me some latitude (and some grace) 🙂

1. Files uploaded into Support Tickets : You're correct that those files can't be deleted, but of course this is just short term, and already something that we have plans to enable. To be honest, we have had only a few customers even mention it, so that's why we've chosen to prioritize our resources elsewhere.

2. Clients not able to delete Calendar Items : The Calendar is not intended to be used as some kind of primary asset or tool for Clients. Yes, in some cases it's desirable for Clients to see the Calendar... for Appointments, Tasks, Events, etc. but in most of those cases, it's not appropriate for the Client to delete items from the Calendar - those items are informational for them in most cases. We're happy to listen to use cases where this is a problem for you, but again, we have absolutely no volume about this item from our Community.

3. Time Zone in ICS link : Ok, will take your word for it, but please understand that every calendar item is stored in the database in UTC, and then, depending on the time zone setting for the user who will be viewing, we apply the time zone as we load the data into the browser. So, for someone who had their TZ set to GMT -4 would see a different time than someone who had their TZ set to GMT +6... maybe this explains it? If not, then please send the details along with context to help@suitedash.com

4. Cookie Banners : Yes, you can create this easily using the Pop-Up Notices that are built right into the platform. Just search the Documentation for "Pop-Up Notices"

5. German Translation : Everything works fine. We provide locking mechanism built right in so that you can easily protect your translation strings. Nothing to be concerned about here.

6. This works as intended.

7. This is what we call a Kickoff Form, and there are provided external links that will "register" the Target.

Also, in our Custom Login Page settings, we have a dedicated setting with the exact label "Show a link on your Custom Login that allows a user to create their own account?" When you enable, you can choose from any Form that you created, so this lets you completely customize the "self-register" form to your liking.

8. We review each of the suggestions on the Voting Board every few days, and approve them as long as they are not offensive or duplicates. Yours will show up soon I'm sure.

Also, if you get a GDPR data deletion request, it's actually quite easy to clear the PII out of your account, so you are definitely able to comply with those requests.

I say all these things just to be clear about our point of view on these "ideas" on which you based a review of our platform. Of course, you have some good points, but for the most part, they have pretty simple explanations. Maybe you will consider re-evaluating your review after taking some time to really understand the platform.

We really appreciate the 4 tacos, but I'm always hungry to earn that 5th 🙂
