This is my worst LTD purchase because Supermachine did not keep up with monthly updates for LTD users.

For example, Supermachine Dream was based on HiDream, but the stronger version was placed on Gems while LTD users received a weaker version. That matters because new models were promised in the AppSumo deal, so this is not a case where users were expecting something that was never advertised.

To me, creating a separate platform where LTD credits cannot be used defeats the purpose of buying an LTD in the first place. The AppSumo description says, “Generate stock photos, art, and images with the latest in AI technology,” but the LTD platform no longer feels like it offers the latest AI technology. It feels outdated.

In the last six months, the only new image model added for LTD customers was Supermachine Next Gen. Meanwhile, there are many strong open-source models available now, such as Qwen Image, the full version of HiDream, and Z-Turbo. Some free platforms even offer better image models than what is currently available on Supermachine.

Other LTD platforms today are offering far more value. I recently bought a $400 lifetime deal that includes unlimited access to models like Nano Banana 2, Z Image, and Nano Banana Pro, and it also lets me use credits toward video models. That is the kind of innovation and flexibility I expected from Supermachine, but instead the LTD platform feels stuck with outdated models that can no longer compete.

I understand supermachine didn't promise videos so i will not hold that against supermachine, but supermachine did promise updates to image models throughout their lifetime and they are not keeping their end of the bargain. Other ai companies updates image models on a monthly basis and at worst every 3 months, and usually its several models. Not supermachine, we got one model in the last six months and nothing else on ltd despite multiple open source models that are free have came out. Within one week after buying I knew it was a bad deal back then but when i tried to refund in the first week, i couldn't because this was one of the few companies that had no refunds. I was trapped from the very beginning. Usually appsumo has a refund policy but i don't know how supermachine did it but somehow they made a deal not to offer refunds right after you buy. There was no refunds immediately after you bought which is odd because thats not normal across many industries. Within the first week i saw the models were bad and it only has gotten worse since then.

For these reasons, Supermachine has become my biggest LTD regret.

I can only agree with the other reviews. To me, it almost looks like they're deliberately trying to get rid of us AppSumo Lifetime users. Supermachine Ltd has become completely useless: the new models are only accessible through Gems, the old ones generate low-quality images and run extremely slowly.
In all other LTDs, especially those with multi-LLM, we have access to high-resolution images with Nano Banana Pro or even Flux 1.1 Pro Ultra and much more
I'm just glad that at least Wizwrite still works perfectly fine. Either way, trust is completely gone.

I was honest at the time. I thought I should invest more, since the founder was really the reason I wanted to invest and offer my support. I was hoping we could get a tool that could keep up with the AI race and provide a platform where we could get hands-on access to cheaper yet premium photo and video AI generation.

Back then (May 2, 2025), it was bad to mediocre, but I thought, “Let it cook.” I came back yesterday because the site had a false ransomware warning from Malwarebytes. That’s sorted now, but I could see in the reviews that the same issues remained: everything I was hoping for is now behind a paywall. I can’t even use the credits I got, and I hate to sound harsh or rude, but the photos we can make with those credits are pure garbage by today’s standards.

So I can’t really use it for anything—not even to sell “gems” or use our credits. I just wish there were something, so it didn’t feel like we supported an early-stage project only to be left behind.

Supermachine is seriously garbage. They have their own model AWFUL.
They pulled a fast one and allow sumo Credits ONLY for the garbage model.
"Gems" are for premium/video/etc.. and you have to buy them.
There was NEVER an effort to upgrade the core Sumo model.
Total scammy approach, IMO.

I really hoped that this company would have integrity and listen to their LTD early supporters. Nope. So saddened. They are still using their Gem system that blocks LTD users, and we are stuck with our useless credits. All the features (even the "new" Supermachine NextGen) are virtually worthless. Image upload doesn't work, outputs are subpar, and accurate wording is nonexistent except with only generator. So, again, the LTD community was abandoned and forsaken. Companies that operate like this, without the slightest integrity, cannot remain long.
