Best Video Downloader Tool I've Used
I've tried many video downloaders and some of them have been functional enough to get the job done and none of them have been as smooth to use as SurFast Video Downloader. It was truly a pleasure to use this tool to grab videos I wanted to have a copy of on my computer.

Okay. Good for YouTube, does nothing on other sites. Extension does not work.
UPDATE:
Also finding it cannot download certian YouTube videos that basic websites that are free can.
SurFast makes me login to YouTube (which I will not do, as I will not put my password in some random application), whereas these basic sites can just download the files.
-------------------
It works well for downloading YouTube videos, but does not really work for other sites.
I have not been able to paste in URLs for any other sites and it detect videos to download.
The extension - which I hoped would solve this - also does not work. It does not pick up any videos (e.g., Vimeo) where other extensions do (Video Download Helper, for example). I was expecting to open the extension and it display videos that can be downloaded, but nothing happens. It seems to rely on you being able to right-click a video, which most video providers block. Right-clicking the page and clicking "Download via SurFast" does nothing.

Really useful
I once bought a similar product somewhere else at a price 10 times higher.
However, the functionality was terrible for the price, and I ended up asking for a refund.
SurFast Video Downloader was really affordable, and my satisfaction is almost top-notch.
I think I will continue using it from now on. It would be even better if a mobile version is released.

Doesn't work on Skool
This doesn't work on Skool. I submitted a support ticket - I received an email with a bunch of confusing technical suggestions that I didn't understand. When I asked if they could send me a screen recording to show me what I needed to do to resolve the issue, they declined.

Sep 18, 2026Hello Tanya, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We'd like to clarify a few details, because we feel the situation was a little different from what's described.
We never claimed that our software supports Skool. What we told you is that it worked now and then, and that whether it continues to work is beyond our control — which is why we have never advertised Skool support as a...
