I bought Switchy six years ago and have been using it across campaigns ever since. When I saw it back on AppSumo at the same price, that alone tells you something — tools that hold their value over that kind of timeline are not common.

What Switchy actually gives you is control over what happens after someone clicks. Custom domains, UTMs, retargeting pixels, and redirect logic mean you can control how links behave based on the channel, the audience, or the campaign stage. For anyone running traffic across multiple platforms, that flexibility has compounding value over time.

Where it is more limited is analytics. It functions as a monitoring layer — you can see what is happening at the link level — but it is not a full reporting solution. If you are expecting deep segmentation or campaign-level attribution, you will want to supplement it elsewhere.

The product feels more maintained than actively developed.

The core functionality is solid and does what it says, but do not buy it expecting a roadmap of new features. Buy it because what it does today is genuinely useful and the one-time pricing makes that a reasonable long-term bet.

If you care about tracking, retargeting, and control more than feature expansion, Switchy still holds up.

Switchy is an AMAZING product and probably one of my best AppSumo buys. I have bought a total of 10 codes (maxed out two accounts), and I might still want more codes in the future, because it's just so good!

The re-directs could be just a tiny bit faster and it would be even more amazing, but the slow down is hardly noticeable most of the time, and it really does EXACTLTY what you need it to do. It also offers so much flexibility in how you set up your links on your domains. You can for example set go.domain.com and then create endless links on that subdomain, or anything else you want to do.

I couldn't give a stronger recommendation, and if I built it myself (I have built my own link trackers in the past) I wouldn't change a single thing (other than perhaps upgrade the servers to be even faster)! If you have more than one website, just buy it and stop worrying about how you are going to deal with links and enjoy awesome tracking on everything.

I love Switchy, I use it a lot, even if I don't understand much about the UTM tags 😅
It's very easy to use.
I can create as many pretty links with my domain (eg. go.mydomain.com) as I want and it works perfectly. I can even create different pretty links to the same URL so I know and use one from my website, one from social media and one in emails, so I always know where my visitors come from. I love that. I use it with 2 domains for now but I can add more domains. I can also create several subdomains per domain to create pretty links.
I warmly recommend Switchly, it's a great alternative to bitly and you can manage your own domains, even modify the URL for the same pretty link.
Oh, and I also use the QR code automatic creation, very useful for creating flyers.
