Q: 2 sentences max per speaker turn
When I try to generate podcast, each speaker sentence output is very long. They are around 5 to 6 sentences. Is there a way to make the speakers speak natural, where:
Speaker 1: asks or explains one small idea.
Speaker 2: reacts, asks a question, or gives a short answer.
Speaker 1: continues naturally.
Example:
Speaker 1: Jay, today we will talk about ordering food. Have you ever ordered food in English?
Speaker 2: Yes, Adrian, but I get nervous. I don’t know what to say first.
Speaker 1: That is normal. Let’s learn one simple sentence.
Speaker 2: Okay, I’m ready.
But in Syllabbles, around 6 sentences per speaker and it feels long for one speaker to speak that long. It loses it natural way of speaking or how podcast should feel.
Is there a way to fix so we have control of that?
I tried adding my elevenlabs API but not working.

May 16, 2026A: You can edit, regenerate, or customize the generated podcast script before creating the final podcast.
We will also be adding further prompting control during podcast script generation, so you can give instructions like keeping each speaker turn to 1–2 short sentences max, etc.
On ElevenLabs: we just checked and it is working. Please make sure your API key is added correctly and that your ElevenLabs account has active credit. If that is not the issue, please send us your account info and the exact error details through the Help Beacon in your account or at [email protected] so we can check it for you.

Here are the features I would like:
Prompt control to manage the length of the conversation.
Easier podcast editing without needing to copy and paste every single line.
Natural emotions in dialogue, such as laughing and reacting naturally.
Conversational filler words, like “huh,” “hmm,” “oh okay,” “really,” and “no way.”
Tone control so the conversation feels more real, natural, and engaging.
Thank you — noted. These are very good suggestions, and we will review them as part of improving the podcast workflow.
