What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?
Success: Built Ahad&Co CPA from scratch to 1,200+ clients over 10 years, specializing in small business taxes and bookkeeping. Filed thousands of returns and saw firsthand what solopreneurs struggle with most.
Failure: Tried implementing traditional bookkeeping software with clients, they hated it. Too complex, too expensive, too time-consuming. Most gave up within weeks.
The Learning: That failure led directly to Tabby. I realized small businesses don't need accountant-level tools, they need bookkeeping that works like magic. So we built it.

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?
After 10 years as a CPA serving 1,200+ small business clients, I watched the same pattern repeat: solopreneurs and small businesses either paid $300+/month for bookkeepers or skipped bookkeeping entirely and showed up at tax time with chaos. Existing software was built for accountants, not real people.
Shah and Irealized we could combine my CPA expertise with his product development skills to build something different, AI-powered bookkeeping that actually works for people who hate bookkeeping.
Tabby was born from thousands of real client struggles, not a theory.
What problem is your product solving and how?
Business Owners waste 10+ hours monthly on bookkeeping or pay $200-500/month for bookkeepers, and still miss deductions at tax time.
Tabby uses AI to automatically categorize transactions, find missed deductions, and generate tax-ready reports. Clean books in minutes, not hours. Built by a CPA who knows exactly what you need at tax time.
