Q: Manual Expense Entry

Hello. In the software, is there the capability to manually enter an expense or income? I ask this as I mainly deal with PayPal payments and they charge a fee. I track this and need a way to manually enter these expenses into the system.

Also, with recurring invoices, does the system automatically send them via email to the customer or does emailing them require manual action?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

A: Yes, it is absolutely possible to record manual expenses through either a Manual Journal Entry or a specific Expense Transaction. You can also use these methods to track any bank charges or fees.

Regarding your other integrations:

PayPal: You can import and sync your PayPal transactions directly to keep your records up to date.

Recurring Invoices: If you set up the specific classes and schedules, the system will automatically generate your recurring invoices.

Please Note: While the invoices are created automatically, the system does not send them out on its own. You will still need to manually send the invoice to your customer once it has been generated.

Thank you for the reply. A couple of things I found that might be on the roadmap but I want to make sure.

1. Once an invoice has been marked as paid, I don't see a way for the customer to get an reciept that they paid the invoice.
2. After an invoice has been marked as Paid (status), if you click on the Invoice ID, the payment status still shows as Unpaid.

Maybe these are settings I'm missing?

We are currently fixing a bug where paid invoices still show as 'Unpaid.' This should be resolved shortly.
To send a 'Paid' invoice to your customer now:
Go to the Invoice List.
Click the three dots next to the invoice.
Select 'Share Invoice.'
While we don't offer a formal invoice Receipt yet, I’ve shared your feedback with our product team. Thank you for the suggestion!
