Not meant for Canadian tax system
I bought the system with really high hopes and it looked promising. However, after signing up, I got to know that I need to get two different tier 3 plans for two of my companies. So I thought it was worth it and I ended up getting another tier 3 plan but there is no way to see or record your transactions revenue or expenses and separate the tax from it.
I wanted to record the transactions so that the expenses have taxes separated from them and wanted to have this as a really good bookkeeping solution, but this isn't meant for it. I was told that I will have to go in each one of those transactions create a manual separate entry, then calculate the tax amount manually on my calculator and then punch the numbers in for each transaction. So it wasn't worth it for me and I have returned both my plans.

Jan 21, 2026Hello,
We are very sorry for the disappointment and the frustration this caused your workflow. We understand that our current limitations regarding Canadian tax tracking did not meet your expectations.
Canadian Tax Support: Tabby is primarily built for the U.S. market and does not currently support or track specific Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) tax laws.
Sales Tax Reporting: At this time, we do not offer a dedicated sales tax report or a feature to automatically separate tax from individual transactions.
Manual Adjustments: We recognize that manually calculating and punching in tax numbers for every transaction is a significant pain point. but we have an option where you can predefine your tax rate and add that rate into transections.
Future Updates: We are planning to roll out more robust support for the Canadian market, including relevant tax rules, in the next 3 to 6 months.
