A: I just helped a user use the extension with ZoomInfo. I can share a script specifically for ZoomInfo data extraction with you if you reach out after you purchase.
Out of the box, Table Capture was able to get the data in the main search results tables, but a lot of ZoomInfo data is in the table's expanded state, which Table Capture wasn't able to cleanly capture. (The script operates on the requests themselves and works pretty well.)
I'm not sure about Apollo, but AppSumo will refund your purchase if it doesn't work. Also, you could reach out to me to setup a Zoom to try together with a trial license.
Table Capture Cloud is a bit an extension of Table Capture. When it comes to software, apps with server-side components are rarely (never?) sold as a one-time fee because the costs to host & run the app are typically not fixed - they increase as users use the app more.
The feature set described in this listing (both free and Pro) are the ones that are included in this lifetime license: https://georgemike.com/tablecapture/
As a customer, you'll continue to get all of the improvements I make to these features (and will probably get new functionality too - I recently added =IMPORTHTML generation as a little thing).
the majority of software I buy on appsumo have server-side components!
if you don't feel like including cloud, just say so... no need to make up fake reasons when hundreds of saas companies have used appsumo as a launchpad for their success (while giving away lifetime for one payment of the usual monthly price).
plus... $4 discount seems tight for an appsumo deal. perhaps including cloud would make this worthwhile for a lot more people. i've seen a few extensions turn into saas and make the creator 6 figures on here.
just saying.
Q: Can it capture table on datastudio and schedule it per time interval or per change of data?
Q: Can you please confirm whether Table Capture will work in my use case -
In the prospective website there is ...
70,000 rows, each page has 10 rows which becomes 7,000 pages, I have tried your free chrome extension it is reading the table correctly. but with the Pro version, will it be able to copy all 70k rows in a single file.
If you've tried the free version and the extension has been able to capture the first page of data, there's a very good chance the pro version will be able to auto-page and capture all of the tables. I'm currently improving the auto-paging functionality as well, so it should only get better at automating the next-page button pressing.
Of course: 1) You can always reach out to me if it doesn't work and we can look into it togehter. 2) AppSumo will refund purchases.
A: This tool doesn't currently handle tables in PDFs. Great question!
(I'm hoping to add support for that soon, but there are a number of other tools that already do this and the code is completely different, so there's less overlap than you'd expect)
A: Tough to say. There's no guarantee it'll work on every table - there are so many varied ways to write a table that the add-on has to make a lot of assumptions, do its best!
If you want to hit me with a link to a table, I can respond with a video of how Table Capture can handle it.
Okay, so...here's me freestyling this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LomQY35jmTc
Of note: - Search results are not especially uniform - Table Capture does its best to "column-ify" the data, but it's certainly not perfect. - I turn on the "always enable break columns" option, which is a way of forcing the availabilty of the column-ification of lists of elements.
Q: Hi there
If it runs purely locally, then please let me know:
Does it need the tab perma open to sync new ...
data in "real time" (on change or by interval?).
Also, can you consider adding an option to import .gzipped CSV files (many companies, especially brokers, provide CSV files of all trades but .gzip the file. I couldnt find a single solution being ale to go, fetch, extract and add those files on an interval.
1) Yes, it runs purely locally. 2) There really isn't a real-time sync feature right now (and no on-change watching). That's coming, but as that may require a server-side component / a lot of Google Drive API writes, it'll be part of a separate subscription.
3) I'm not sure what you mean about "importing gzipped CSV files." Table Capture is for exporting data generally speaking. Definitely email me to discuss though!
A: No, I wouldn't compare it to Octoparse. Octoparse is scraping as a service.
Table Capture is a tool to get tabular data into your spreadsheet app of choice in a 0-config, 2 seconds sort of way.
Like...you're living your best internet life. You then run into a table and want it in Google Sheets or Excel. With Table Capture: Right click, launch, 2 clicks later you're done.
With Octoparse, you can have that table scraped, but first you have to define a scrape job. (I'm assuming - I've never actually used their product; I'm sure it's great!) It's a bit heavy for a lot of tasks. Also, the Octoparse standard plan is $75/month.
I can't say which tool is the right one for *your needs*. There's more info about Table Capture here: https://georgemike.com/tablecapture/
Also, I'm happy to do a Zoom demo with you. Just hit me up!
Table Capture's decent with some search results if they're uniform, but the more varied they are, the less likely it is to work as expected.
It's more geared towards tables (goes without saying) and lists.
I'd recommend at looking at these demos to get a feel for where it thrives: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdGg9T98p74 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRl6awezdKQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GraxmaX1wic
Table Capture has been a work in progress for the past 10+ years and it's still one. I created it for myself to get some transactions from my brokerage account into Excel, but its growth has been fueled by thousands of interactions with its users. Keep the feedback coming!
* I respond to every single email, bug report and chat! I read all the reviews. Please reach out if you need anything at all. *
Right now Table Capture's pretty great at handling a variety of tables and automating as much as possible (scrolling through infinitely scrolling tables, auto-paging through multi-page ones), but there's still lots of room for improvement!
I keep this roadmap doc pretty updated; give it a look to see what's on my radar: https://docs.google.com/document/d/10wM8tSyatRIlKGM7bYYBHLbfCZANuO5ewoX2SnC8HMs/edit
Hopefully Coming Soon: Sub-page data extraction, real-time data synchronization between a page and Google Sheets, improved starred actions
A: Soon this will be, but it'll require a special license (Table Capture Cloud) as there is a backend component necessary to stream the data (stock info in your case) to Google Sheets. Also, the writes to Google Sheets via their API are not infinitely free.
You can email me if you want to beta test that feature.
Special License? For Table Capture Cloud? Whats that? Which email ID would you like me to correspond with you on? Yes lets get down to the testing which I dont mind...
Yes, so...Table Capture is great because it lives entirely in your browser with none of your data has to leave your computer in order to export it to Excel/CSV, get it into Google Sheets, etc.
In order to do more powerful operations that are independent of your manual operation (scheduling a capture for a page, synchronizing data between a page and a Google Sheet, etc.), there needs to be backend ("cloud") component.
You can reach me at g@georgemike.com to discuss! I'm actively looking for beta testers! Thanks!
Table Capture primarily captures tabular data that's displayed in webpages. It'll also capture data across multiple pages and data that loads as you scroll (which is typically tedious to export to your spreadsheet app of choice, ie. Microsoft Excel).
That being said, I'm always adding new features to the add-on. Would be interested to learn more about your use-cases if you feel like emailing me (g@georgemike.com). Would be happy to discuss on a call as well.
