Q: Looking forward to using this product.
I have tier three, however in configuration, unlike the other channels, next to email, there is a big "upgrade button". Isn't email channel included? Additionally, when I click on the upgrade button, there is no reaction.

The email channel is not currently part of the platform.
The email channel has been promised since the deal arrived on AppSumo, and they have been continually promising it weekly - the last promise was part of their December 21st "release" and now there is a completely non-functional "upgrade now" button instead.
If you're using chrome, right-click and inspect the upgrade button elements.
Take a good look.
The email channel is still "in progress" on the Tactful AI roadmap.
There is currently no specific timeline on completing this.
Given their reputation though we can be confident that they will be extending everyone's trials, since their statements have been somewhat misleading.
