Wanted to Love It, But the Core Feature Failed Repeatedly
I really wanted Taja to work.
I purchased it specifically to turn long-form YouTube videos into short-form clips and automate posting across multiple social platforms. On paper, it checked all the boxes and seemed like a great fit for my workflow.
Unfortunately, my experience was very different.
The biggest issue was clip generation. Long-form videos, including videos over an hour long, would typically generate only around 10 clips. When I tried to generate additional clips from the same content, the regeneration feature didn’t work. I even re-uploaded an existing YouTube video hoping to create more clips, but it generated no clips at all.
Things became even more frustrating when videos remained stuck in the clip-generation process for multiple days without completing.
Technical issues can happen with any platform, and I understand that. What ultimately pushed me to request a refund was the lack of support. I reported the issues, followed up, and even had AppSumo escalate the matter. Despite that, I never received a meaningful response or solution.
To be fair, I do think Taja has potential. The automated social media posting features are convenient, and the overall concept is exactly what many creators are looking for. However, for a tool centered around generating clips, the clip-generation workflow needs to be reliable.
I genuinely hope the team resolves these issues because the idea behind the product is solid. In its current state, though, it wasn’t dependable enough for my needs, and I ultimately requested a refund.
