Abed here, the founder of Tapflow

We're so excited to finally share Tapflow with you all.

It all started with a problem that made me come up with Tapflow. I’ve always believed that the key to building a successful company is having superstars on your team. But finding these superstars was almost impossible every time I tried.

Knowing that LinkedIn Recruiter is the best tool to find candidates, I dove into it, using booleans and keyword search technology to try and search for the ideal candidates. What I got were 1000s of random profiles that matched my keywords, but rarely did they match the role’s true needs. This left me feeling overwhelmed and stuck.

I tried to search for solutions. What’s the next step? When does this become good? That's what I tried to google, but no solid response other than a few tricks to find certain keywords inside those profiles.

This is the moment I realized that recruiters and hiring managers have to spend countless hours searching and reading through hundreds and thousands of profiles.

Then it hit me.. what if we could build technology to do this for us? What if we could create a tool that automated the whole process, making it faster, more accurate, and easy to use?

After months of development, numerous iterations, and a fair share of bugs, we created Tapflow.

Q: Contact Details & Sending Emails

I just bought tier 2. I don’t see any emails or contact details for the contacts. Where do I find the contact emails. Also, I don’t see a way to send emails through the system. I’ve connected my email, but it says coming soon when I hit the email button. Please advise

It'll be back in the coming 2-3 days.

FYI, email finding credits are not included. The feature itself can be used you can connect and send emails, but if you don't have the emails and want to use our email finding feature you need to add credits.

Q: Weird

Shady that you didn’t disclose that minor detail about the emails being an additional cost (how much, by the way?).

It’s reasonable that we’d think they were part of the LinkedIn database you claim to have - but especially since the deal directly says we get contact info...

If you take a moment to think about it, the gap really gets narrowed between this tool and just buying a curated list from a source like Apollo/Clay. Wait, I guess we have to buy it anyway even with this…huge bummer.

Was excited to have grabbed tier 4!

Sorry it wasn't clear for you that we will not provide contact details, however its not convenient for us to provide LTDs contact details. Next time, we will have a huge number of emails for each tier, we will be having a better and more convenient provider for emails by then.

We do have a 500m database of LinkedIn information but not contact details. The email credit costs $0.5 btw

Q: Prior purchase T3 has 1k email unlock. I don’t see it now in old plan. Can you add

If I upgrade to T4, will you extend that 1k per month email unlock per month ( or even more) along with the new tier 4 benefits of unlimited exports ?

Don’t want to upgrade and pay for emails that I already had . The deal structure is so confusing.
We also need a way to export the results / analysis unless it’s already an available .Currently it’s difficult to capture them manually . Can this be done ?

If the source of T3 and T4 are different if that is what we understand , is it correct to assume proper platform has sunset and our search results will be different ?

The 1K email you had is work emails, we thought it wasn't useful for recruitment thats why we removed it and added something else. But if you still want it we don't mind, I think we turned back your subscription to the old one anyways.

Also yes we do have exporting for results.

What do you mean by the platform has sunset?

Founder Untrustable

Founder do not allow basic due diligence questions such as current MRR and long term survival strategy. This is a common question for all product launched here.
Emailed the founder twice and a rude email reply of one word "stop".
I will leave it to the buyers to decide if this is a cash grab product with no long term plan.

As mentioned in my email to Donacid, with the subject being "Re: Reach out on Tapflow and Sustainability", I thought that Donacids email was an automated sales email. So while I was replying "stop" to those. I mistakenly did that with Donacid's email. If I didn't want to answer his questions, I wouldn't have answered his tons of questions before.

I don't understand how because of a small encounter someone can go and say "Founder Unstrustable" publicly without any facts or real problems caused by the founder. Its not my first time on AppSumo, answered every single question from hundereds of users. Spent hundereds of hours of my time in calls with other users. And at the end, because of one email you just go and say "Cash grab" product...

This deal doesnt give you email adresses

I was initially excited about this tool based on the features advertised, which suggested I would be able to access contact information for individuals (In the listed features here on Appsumo).

However, I was pretty blindsided to learn that revealing contact details requires an additional payment. The main feature I expected — getting contact info and exporting a set number of contacts per month — is not fully accessible without extra fees. Seeing only LinkedIn contacts without emails makes this tool largely unusable and quite disappointing. If you're looking for seamless access to contact details without additional costs, this might not meet your expectations.

Great tool

I have been using the tool and works great. The quality of the matches is good, truth that you need to calibrate and iterate until you find the sweet-spot, but it is more a case of learning to get the best of the tool rather than anything else.

They continue to add features such as adjusting the search and others which make it super easy to use.

At first it was a bit slow, but over the course of the last few weeks results appear much faster.

I would absolutely recommend it!

Potential Game Changer

I tried Tapflow on a whim, and I'm sure glad that I did! It does some of the work that it took my sourcer days to do -- in hours.

I'm still learning the product and figuring out how to incorporate it into my workflow, but all indications are this deal is a GEM! The support and product team are very responsive, and have a good track record with other business success.

I don't know how this software compares to similar products because I've never used them, but the leadership seems to be very aware of the space and how to differentiate.

I know that one of the criticisms of these tools is that all they do is spit back out LinkedIn results faster. The product manager did mention that they have some additional databases that they source from. I'd love to see this product grow to allow users to easily embrace more unconventional sourcing methods. And, it would be great to train the AI too, so it can better understand your niche.

Solid Sourcing Tool

I find TapFlow to be a solid and comprehensive sourcing tool which cac quickly generate a comprehensive list of potential candidates to target against a given job description. The upside for me is that it helps me overcome my tendency to continually refine my search strings. TapFlow helps me to get over my tendency to sweat the small stuff in an endless quest to devise the perfect boolean query. While this does not mean that I never have to go back and input my own search strings, it is a great way to get started with sourcing assignments and quite often it's enough to generate a strong long list of profiles to target.
