Q: Can you please restore the 13 missing Business profiles that were part of my redeemed tier?
I bought 2 Taplink codes in 2021 (tier = 15 Business profiles) and redeemed them. I also received Taplink’s confirmation email (“Your longlife BUSINESS plan has been activated,” Nov 26, 2021). The 15 profiles were available (I used one and had a placeholder on another).
After a login change by support in Aug 2025, I now see only 2 Business profiles, and new ones default to Basic. The other 13 disappeared. Support told me this was about “unused/not redeemed codes,” but my codes were redeemed years ago. Perhaps the confusion is about what “redeemed” means — from AppSumo’s side it means activating the codes, which I did.
Question: Can you please restore the 13 missing Business profiles that were part of my redeemed tier?
A: Hi there, Please reach out directly to Taplink support (via Intercom on our website or by email at support@taplink.at). We already have a solution in place, and we’ll be happy to help you individually to make sure everything works out in the best way possible.
I paid for 15 business accounts, but instead of allocating those slots to my account as the majority of SAAS here, Taplink created a bunch of bogus internal codes. Nowhere on the terms did it say I had to redeem them within x date or lose them. I paid for a service that I no longer have and the terms had no such warning. These companies are playing with fire, always trying to find loopholes. One day the FTC will come with heavy hammer. I tested my internal codes, they all give "Promo code not found". This is an actual rugpull attempt, I paid for 15 business profiles and now I don't have them! I contacted Appsumo support, but you clearly do not understand or care what will happen to your public image (Trustpilot, SaaS blacklists and all others).
Thank you for sharing your perspective. Please allow me to clarify ours.
AppSumo standard. For all deals, AppSumo sets a clear rule: each code must be redeemed within 60 days. This protects both customers and partners, providing transparency and consistency. If a code is not redeemed, the benefit is lost — much like buying a gym membership but never using it. This is the nature of...
Paint the story however you want, we acquired a product and it says 15 business accounts, I do not have it anymore. It didn't have a 4 or 5 year expiration, you failed to warn us and so it doesn't apply. SaaS products here do not have a time limit to claim paid features, they are included when we redeem the main Appsumo code (the only with 60 days). I have 1000+ purchases past decade+, not a noob.
My codes were never redeemed, you can verify that, was you that created this awful system. Most SaaS just deduct our limits from a variable, you decided with extra codes. I want my 15 business account limit, do not care how it is redeemed internally. Included features do not have expiration dates. The 60 days only apply to the main Appsumo provided coupon, not yours, as it was not on any terms.
Q: Where is the Appsumo tab on Taplink?
There was usually a tab called "Appsumo" in Taplink settings, where we could send invitations to 5 accounts with this lifetime deal. The tab disappeared and the link https://taplink.at/en/appsumo/ no longer works. I did not use all the invitations I was entitled to and would like to continue to use them, after all, that was one of the features of the deal. Will you restore this option or who has not sent all invitations lost this right?
A: Hi everyone, thank you for sharing your concerns here. We’d like to clarify this situation openly and respectfully.
When Taplink launched on AppSumo back in 2020–2021, the official deal terms — which were published directly on the AppSumo–Taplink page — required that all codes be redeemed within 60 days. This is a standard rule across AppSumo deals, designed to protect both buyers and...
Ye, where is the link? The terms stipulates the code on the appsumo page should be executed in 60 days. It did not say the codes on the Taplink page should be executed in 60 days. There is a huge disconnect between Appsumo and Taplink.
I contacted Taplink, and they gave me the same lame excuse. I redeemed my AppSumo code within 60 days, as I usually do with all my purchases here. There was no mention in the deal about redeeming the 5 accounts within a specific time frame. Taplink decided to penalize buyers for no reason. Now they are refusing to restore the right acquired under the terms they themselves established in the LTD.
@Sergei_Taplink The deal was 1 code for 5 accounts, not 1 code for 5 codes that had to be redeemed within 60 days. This was never mentioned or warned about. The AppSumo code was redeemed on time, no one is complaining about that, it's you who are not fulfilling the agreement. I'm not even going to comment on what you said about selling accounts because that makes your response even more offensive.
First of all, I apologize if my previous response sounded like a personal accusation — that was not the case. The mention of resales was only to explain the situation. Your main code was redeemed on time, but the internal codes also fell under AppSumo’s 60-day rule, as they confirmed. We kept redemption open for over 4 years — far beyond the official period. Thanks for understanding.
@Sergei_Taplink There is no confirmation from AppSumo about this, only about their code. You created this rule recently. And even if it existed, buyers were not given any warning about it. You removed our ability to redeem accounts without telling anyone. The least you should do to honor the offer is to restore the accounts of those who made the purchase and are requesting it.
As I mentioned earlier, I have already contacted AppSumo and asked specifically about the internal codes. If you have contacted them and received a different answer, please let me know — I can follow up with them again to clarify.
@Sergei_Taplink Yes, I contacted AppSumo, and they didn't mention anything about an expiration date for Taplink's internal codes. I would love to see the message you sent them clearly stating that these are Taplink's internal codes and not the code provided by AppSumo, because so far all you've done is deflect your response and place the responsibility on them.
@mattks92, you are exactly right. I agree with everything you said. I don't understand why Taplink doesn't understand the logic. I have 26 internal Taplink account that I will get activated somehow or I will spend a lot of unnecessary money to make a point. I hate when someone cheats me on purpose. I won't stand for it. @Sergei_Taplink, you guys need to do the right thing and activate my 26 accts.
I understand your frustration and appreciate your feedback. As I explained earlier, we had to stop redemptions, but we in no way question your good faith. If you think there’s an exception, please contact AppSumo — we’ll cooperate fully.
I have already contacted AppSumo support several times and explained our situation in detail, including all information about the codes. They recommended that you reach out to their customer support — after that, they will review your requests and get back to me. This is not avoiding responsibility but following their recommendation.
After everyone redeemed their AppSumo code they are off the hook. This has nothing to do with AppSumo anymore. It’s the internal account codes from Taplink that are the problem. I hope that taplink come around and activate the 26 accounts I have codes for. I messaged taplink on the platform specifically. I have to say this isn’t the way to run a business. Yes you read it correct, I have 26 codes
I sent several messages to Taplink support through the platform itself. I only have three accounts to recover, and yet they refuse, giving the same lame excuses. They started by talking about this 60-day deadline that never existed, and now that they see that this justification didn't work, they're saying that the problem is the alleged resale of accounts.
I noticed that Taplink doesn’t specify the difference between the AppSumo code and the internal Taplink code. If there isn’t a better solution, it might lead to a lot of one-star reviews on various websites. Kindly use your wisdom, there are many competitors, and it seems you are spreading negativity towards your customers. Good luck guys
I'm sure they know the difference between the codes, and when @Sergei_Taplink said he contacted AppSumo, he probably didn't specify that the codes are internal and not from AppSumo. After all, they are trying to confuse buyers in the same way. Giving Taplink negative reviews is a good start, but I really hope they understand the negativity they are creating and reverse this decision.
I was thinking about something. If I buy a bundle of 30 account codes why would I use them all at once. No one would and taplink knew this also. Now they are trying to say the account codes expire in 60 days, please give us more credit than that…..
Exactly! That doesn't make any sense. Who would buy multiple codes to access dozens of accounts that could only be activated in 60 days? No one would make the purchase if those were the terms of the lifetime deal. As you said, Taplink knows this, and they are just making excuses for not fulfilling the terms of the offer.
Colleagues, thank you for your comments. I’ve already shared the full details about the codes here and with AppSumo support. Their suggestion is simple: let each client share their position directly, and we’ll review it together. You see it one way, we see it another, so a neutral arbiter is needed — AppSumo support. Please reach out to them, and I’ll also follow up in a few days
I feel this is not quite right. Taplink should consider that many of us purchased the 5-code lifetime subscription with the understanding that a single code could be used initially, while the remaining codes could be saved for future use. This was the expectation we all had during the purchase.
By changing this now, it reduces the trust we have in Taplink as well as in AppSumo. Since this is a “lifetime deal”, I kindly request you to clarify what exactly is meant by “lifetime” and to ensure that the original commitment is honored.
I hope you will reconsider this decision in favor of your long-term users and maintain the trust we placed in your product.
Hi! Just to clarify: “lifetime” means that if you activated codes in your account, it keeps the package as long as Taplink exists. The only issue is Taplink codes not activated in 4 years, though normally activation should be within 60 days. We kept it open all this time. Since some users dispute this, we suggested reviewing it together with AppSumo support.
Exactly! If I had known there was a deadline to redeem the accounts (which there never really was), I would have redeemed them as soon as possible. Since there was no deadline specified, I redeemed the accounts as needed, as apparently everyone here was doing, until we were surprised that Taplink decided to remove this option for no real reason.
@Sergei_Taplink did an email go out letting us know that our INTERNAL codes had an expiration date? Many of us have purchased various applications with similar features and the only codes that needed to be redeemed was the AS codes themselves. Not the internal codea from the application for "subaccounts/workspaces".
Please do the right thing and stop blaming Appsumo.
Sergei, with all due respect, this explanation doesn’t hold up.
When we purchased the Taplink AppSumo LTD, the deal terms were very clear: only the AppSumo codes needed to be redeemed within 60 days. We all did that. Now, years later, Taplink is introducing this idea of “internal codes” having their own expiration date something never mentioned anywhere at the time of purchase.
If this rule existed, customers would have redeemed everything immediately. Nobody would buy 30, 50, or 75 accounts only to be forced to redeem them in 60 days — it makes no logical sense. Other LTD SaaS like Webwave, for example, have honored their deals for years without inventing hidden restrictions.
Right now, what Taplink is doing feels like moving the goalposts and taking away entitlements we paid for. This isn’t about AppSumo support — this is about Taplink honoring the promises made when we became your early adopters.
The fair resolution is simple: restore the remaining accounts/landing pages to every LTD buyer who already redeemed their AppSumo codes. Anything less is a breach of trust.
i have already contacted appsumo support and share this matter in other group forums
Exactly! @Sergei_Taplink, do the right thing and post all the Taplink codes for the accounts under the LTD we purchased back on to our accounts. The 60-day redemption requirement was for AppSumo codes and I had redeemed all those within the 60-day period.
At least you can notify us or give us a warning that "its been 4-5 years and you had not redeemed your code, we are giving you a week to redeem all that remaining code or else you will lost all your codes" I mean a good, loyal and professional brand would do that.
I didn't purchase this deal, but I'm keeping up with the situation. If the codes aren't restored to buyers' accounts, then the Vbout deal I bought with 20 sub-accounts for $700 (and I only used one slot so far) could also revert to a single account. Noted. This means I'll never buy a deal on Appsumo again.
If anyone is interested in pursuing this from a legal standpoint you can contact me. Legally this isn’t as the terms stated so there is avenue of approach from that stand point. If AppSumo agrees with Taplink on these illegal terms that means a lot more platforms will have the same problem like the Vbout customers. If someone from AppSumo or Taplink don’t come forward and correct this situation.
Hi there, We’ve already discussed this situation with AppSumo and worked out a compromise solution that I hope will satisfy everyone. I also asked AppSumo to post their own statement here, but they haven’t done so yet. I believe they’ll share it tomorrow (Monday).
Q: When will this be coming back?!?
I LOVE using tap link and have more sites I want to build! Would DEFINITELY buy the largest package i can when it returns!
