Q: Amazing software you've created.
I discovered Taskede a couple of weeks ago, and am now totally immersed and use it as my main, central tool for most of my work (writing and structuring thoughts through the hierarchical, supersmooth and fast outlining is brilliant - and to have all this within the project rather than in hard to find finder folders – wow!): And so much more.
I'm likely to buy the tier 3 license, since I imaging I'll stay with Taskede for a long time – also based on the super quick responses and great customer relations you seem to embody.
A couple of quite important questions through:
1) How should I think in terms of future life of the massive amounts of data that will be accumulating on Taskede -- essentially all of my working life. Even if things look good now – what will happen 5, 10, 15 years down the line. Essentially -how will I be able to conveniently take all the my data in Taskede out of the app so that I have it not only stored but also in some meaningful structure, pondering that something happens with Taskade in the future. I see there is a md-export possibility, which seems to be on project-by-project basis. The prospect of having to manually exert every project is not ideal, and more of a concern – I don't see any of the embedded or uploaded materials here which means it would be a gargantuan task to recreate what will be done within Taskede. Can you give me your thoughts and hopefully assurance on this future-proofing dimension – that you will be looking into this so that I can can dare take the step towards a lifelong tier 3 license (it's a big commitment in terms of possible lock-in more than the money).
2) A question - if I archive a workspace, does that mean one of the 10 workspaces included in tier 2 opens up for use, or is do the 10 include also the archived ones? I'm leaning on tier 3 anyway, but would be good to know, probably also for others.
Many thanks, Niclas

May 15, 2024A: You are a welcome and great suggestion, we will work on including embedded add-ons in the future, but first, we have gotten more export chat and export comment requests, we will definitely take note of each and try our best to prioritize them.
Hi there, welcome to Taskade, and thanks for the kind comments! Glad you found our structured hierarchical lists helpful for organizing your tasks, notes, and more. We have many improvements coming to the editor very soon.
Regarding your questions, please see below:
1. Great question; rest assured your data is safe with us and we are here to stay. Learn more about security over at https://www.taskade.com/security. We will continue to improve https://www.taskade.com/search for quick and easy access to your tasks, projects, and content, along with improvements to the CMD/CTRL + K quick search functionality. In terms of exporting, we have many plans to make exporting easier; please see https://help.taskade.com/hc/en-us/sections/8742803439763--Import-Export for more details. Ideally, we will offer an option to do this on the folder and workspace level via settings in the future.
2. The archived workspace will still be counted as you can always unarchive it, and the data is still there.
Feel free to reach out directly if you have any additional questions!
Best,
John

Thanks John,
Impressive you find time to answer all these questions so swiftly! Very pleased to hear about your exporting plans for Workplace and folder levels. And exciting to hear you're working to further improve the global search. How about enabling export also of linked and embedded materials – obviously no panic now, but for feeling confident in terms of future proofing?

Hmmm....
What will happen in 15 years?
Surely the internet and how we work will change.
Blockchain will probably already be a standard and Web3.
🤔
Theoretically, you could see what the solution looks like after 15 years - see Basecamp :)
I would say the opposite of Basecamp, and likely more focus around automated self-organizing tasks, projects, and workspaces within Taskade!
We have big plans around making #hashtags and @crosslinks work faster and better around linking your tasks, notes, and projects. Stay tuned!
