Q: One of our core values is transparency.

We support teams in developing a working culture based on trust between teammates, managers, and leaders.

As we want to foster honesty and healthy work environment these features are not available.

^^^^ I am an agency owner who employs a workforce from around the world. My initial principals were the same as your statement above. Over the years, I found myself being taken advantage of by employees time after time. I would have to move on in my search for the right person and found myself going through this cycle quite frequently. You can imagine, hiring, training, and retaining a person is very time and resource extensive.

I am a staunch believer in creating a healthy work environment by respecting and having trust in your team but I have also found that when given the opportunity some people will take advantage. Now, I use Hubstaff on all new hires and inform them that it's linked with the payroll hence they have to use it. I am very transparent with my team and I don't monitor their activities and never really bring it up with them. However, I have found that for employees to be aware that they don't have a free ride keeps them in check just like in real life we know that we are not being watched but the police is there and keep us in check.

I think, by not adding this feature you are making a grave mistake and greatly limiting your growth and client base not only here in Appsumo but also around the world. I think it should be left on your users to decide what works for them and how to create a healthy work environment rather than removing a feature that might be crucial for human resource management. I also think policy-making and a healthy work culture making should be left with the organizations. Being monitored or not is not the only factor for building a healthy working culture, there are so many factors involved. With Hubstaff in place, we have a very healthy work environment where we all support each other and we have very high employee retention rate now and employees, managers, and leaders are all happy.

If you change your mind, people like myself and many others will invest in your software until then it's a hard pass.
