Just Incredible. This is the future of phone call automation and customer service!
When I first came across Thoughtly, I thought, “Eh, just another IVR with some AI features.” But then I checked out their website, and they had a public phone number inviting people to call! So, I figured, “Why not?” I called +1 (855) 717-0250, and after that call, I was completely blown away by how impressive it is! Seriously, you HAVE to call and see for yourself—you won’t believe how good it is!
After setting up my account and trying out Thoughtly, I wanted to share my thoughts because I think it’s totally worth the hype. I noticed that a lot of the negative reviews seem to come from people having issues with international phone numbers. If you’re outside the U.S., it might not work as well for you. But if you need a U.S. number, the setup is super quick! I added a toll-free number, and it went live in seconds. You can add multiple toll-free or state numbers just as easily!
Setting up the virtual receptionist was really straightforward. The user interface is nice and easy to navigate. The AI representatives sound ultra-realistic, and there are dozens of voices to choose from. Thoughtly even allows you to add background sounds like a call center or coffee shop to make the calls feel more authentic. Plus, there’s a cool option to enable a “Typing on a Keyboard” sound after a caller finishes speaking, which gives the impression that someone is actually thinking or taking notes.
You can also adjust the assertiveness and humor levels of your AI, which is a neat feature. Managing voicemail is a breeze—you can turn it on or off whenever you like. The "Genius" feature is where the magic happens; the AI learns from your company’s data. After each call, you get a chat history of everything the AI discussed with customers, along with a brief summary—all of this is available on their dashboard and sent to your email.
Using Thoughtly has been a real pleasure for me! I’ve never needed support, and I believe the negative reviews are from people who weren’t familiar with setting up an IVR or who wanted international numbers. The interface is very similar to phone.com, which is considered one of the best. Overall, I’d give it a solid 5/5!
