Decent but overbranded for paid app
I'm currently using Calendy to book guests on my podcast. So my calendar needs are basic. I was fine with Calendy but for $19 lifetime this seemed worthwhile alternative.
But whoa, they went overboard slapping their branding all over the calendar. The free version of Calendy has one. TidyCal has EIGHT outgoing links for a paid app... on the top corner of the calendar a TidyCal hyperlinked logo. And in the footer it's a smorgasbord of cluttered junk: another TidyCal logo (that's two now) a "Made with TidyCal" hyperlinked text then hyperlinked shout outs to AppSumo, SendFox, and KingSumo, AND to top it off, an AppSumo Originals logo to boot. Seriously? I get it's just $19, but yikes. Come on. Show some restraint. How many more links and branding would they add if they had a free version? Blinking lights, perhaps.
Nyway, the actual calendar looks nice (sans the overbranding) and it's easy enough to set up. I had it up and running quickly.
The Zoom integration doesn't work as well. I like how in Calendy it creates a Zoom meeting for each booked guest and the link goes out with their password. With this app, I would still need to email the Zoom password. So that part, I didn't like since it adds an extra step.
So overall, thumbs down. Will stick with Calendy for now.
