I wanted to love this app
Of the price difference between Calendly and TidyCal, I truly wanted to love this app to escape from the monthly subscription hell. As a small business owner, TidyCal wasn't sufficient for my use case.
Currently, TidyCal doesn't have an option to specify different dates for each booking. It only allows you to set your hourly availability. Our schedule each week is different so this functionality is important to keep our clients up to date on our availability.
I appreciate that their support team was quick to respond and advise me that the feature is technically very challenging and requires restructuring on the backend.
They unfortunately do not have an estimated time on when this will be deployed.
Their workaround for this is to connect your calendar and create "busy" events to block off time. However, since I have multiple booking types, the calendar syncs to all of them and does not have the option to apply to a select booking type.
Unfortunately, I will have to go back to using another calendar booking app. If TidyCal adds these functionalities, I will be back!

May 9, 2024Hi, plantmahmah.
Thanks for your honest and well-written review here. We're glad that you tried TidyCal.
To your point, TidyCal does not offer "exact date" methodology at this time. In other words, we offer general weekly availability — and pick up on free/busy in your integrated calendars to block off times.
So the suggestion is to mark a day as "busy" in your calendar for this effect. And, we know this isn't right for everyone.
We've been hesitant to add exact date methodology because it makes the app more complex and confusing. Part of the reason we created TidyCal was because I hated all other calendar apps out there (including Calendly). They were super complex, annoying to set up, and overwhelming. I just wanted someone to book me easily!
With that said, we are always looking at suggestions and releasing new features per user requests. We have released 200+ feature updates since we launched — all free for Lifetime users.
