TidyCal is appreciated for its user-friendly interface, seamless calendar integration, and affordable one-time payment. The ability to customize emails and the option for lifetime access at a budget-friendly price are major hits. However, there are minor delays in syncing with Microsoft 365 and limited customization options. With an overall rating of 4.3 and a 60-day money-back guarantee, it's worth giving TidyCal a try for its value and functionality.

TidyCal vs. Calendly: What I Found After Comparing Both

I originally got this product through my Plus membership back in 2022. Because it is positioned as a Calendly alternative, I wanted to compare the two solutions. That comparison link is at the bottom of this review.
The short version: for the AppSumo audience, TidyCal is hard to beat. It covers the core use cases, booking pages, paid appointments via Stripe and PayPal, unlimited booking types, Google Calendar sync, automated reminders, and intake forms, without a monthly bill attached to it. Setup is fast and the interface is frictionless.
The one gap worth knowing before you buy: there is no mobile app. If you manage your schedule from your phone throughout the day, that creates real friction. It is not a dealbreaker for everyone, but it is the most consistent complaint and you should know it going in.
For most solo operators, freelancers, and small service businesses, TidyCal is likely everything you need long-term. Where Calendly earns its subscription pricing is team scheduling, CRM integrations like Salesforce and HubSpot, advanced routing logic, and enterprise compliance requirements. That is not the AppSumo buyer.

Fantastic tool

I was using other tools before with monthly subscription but this beats them easily. Works great with zoom and Google meet, syncing with my other activities in my calendar and they keep adding new features.

No support after buying

I got tidycal as a replacement for calendly. It’s okay, other than the appearance feature. After changing the theme of the calendar it doesn’t save it. So that element doesn’t work.

Emailed support and no response so it seems like this app is buggy with no app dev team or support.

Tried but maybe not for me

I thought this one might be a great saving instead of paying for Calendly. Now while it works in the simplest form, I am one to use a system for time saving and convenience. On the face of it it looks similar to Calendly and can even import bookings from Calendly to get started. It works ok, puts my bookings and and sends reminders etc. So works.

Things I don't like - that it doesn't have an app to check bookings easily and edit on the run.
The ability to reschedule a client again for another session.
It didn't like today that I blocked out my whole week for "all day" in google calendar and didn't flow through.
It is harder to block out days then it was in calendly with more manual steps.

Would I recommend it - for someone wanting a simple booking system without ongoing costs yes definitely. If you have several types of sessions, really want to work on the run with little touch points - probably no. To do this one I think they need an app and more options within it.

Hey, thanks for the feedback here.

For blocking off days, adding those all day events should block off your calendar. If you're still willing to try, please shoot us over an email to [email protected] and we can troubleshoot with you because this should work automatically.

We're already working on improvements to the mobile site to make things much easier to manage on the go, and continue to...
