Close but no cigar just yet...awaiting response from creator.

I want to give Tiny Talk a higher rating, but there's a significant issue: unlike competitors such as Zapier Chatbot (beta) and Chatbase, Tiny Talk doesn't seem to properly utilize its knowledgebase. The chatbot fails to provide answers based on the information that's been fed into the system. If Tiny Talk can resolve this fundamental problem, I'll gladly update my rating. For now, the system appears to operate with accessing just bits and pieces of the knowledgebase.

Are you kidding me!

I have tried several of the A.I./chat interfacing products here on Appsumo, I started with PickAxe which was a really good first app for me to try, in this part of my tech stack, and represented my foray into A.I. LLM backend to chat front end integration. So fortunately I cut my teeth on a good one. But then I wanted some advanced features and picked up inter-chat. That was very robust, and very expensive. So then I tried Charla and NoForm.ai, which are more in the price range of Tiny Talk. And after investing a fair amount of time in both of those products, which I liked very much and wanted to be a working solution I found that they got out of control and started making things up, much like ChatGPT. I would ingest and reingest files, URL’s, my website directory, etc. to try to help them out and “shape up”, but they had too much latitude and so I shipped them out. And then came Tiny Talk.

This product has a clean interface, is super simple, fast and easy to integrate into your website. But honestly most of these products can claim the same thing. The design interfaces and GUI are just getting better all around. And tit for tat the features and functionality, and navigation menus are very similar and familiar from one product to the next. Which is great for us who are in the hunt, because it makes it easier to evaluate a product when you can just “intuitively” deploy it in real-time. And when you are in this category of A.I. LLM chat product, a lot of it has to do with your Prompt skills. Garbage in and garbage out. Great prompts produce great results, A.I. just makes it better IF, and this IF is what makes all the difference.

So that’s what is the same, but what makes Tiny talk different and really stood out for me was the settings that included (1) Temperature, (2) Match Count and (3) Guardrail level. This was the genie in the bottle. Now the answers given to questions asked in the chat are dialed in, super tight, and just right. Not too much, not too little and always based on what information I provided in the ingestion and training period, which was also very fast. Are there a few features missing? Yes, but they are on the road map. And they have an API key, integrations and (Zapier, Pabbly and Webhooks) it’s the trifecta! Overall, this is a deal that you don’t want to let go past you. I have purchased about 75 Appsumo deals and this is in the top 5 for sure. And I can’t wait for what’s ahead. Thanks to Tiny Talk, my search is over. And I couldn’t be happier, great price, but really don’t get anything under Tier-3, you will want the API access, lead generation, Chat history and Helpdesk. 5.2 Tacos!

Be Carful of this!

At first glance, I was impressed by Tiny Talk’s clean and user-friendly interface. However, after two months of using the platform, I can confidently say that it is a waste of both time and money. The service not only underdelivers but also feels like a misleading deal. Here’s why:

1. Pricing and Features Lack Logic

Tiny Talk’s pricing structure is baffling. If you want to access ChatGPT-4 or its advanced capabilities, you need to subscribe to Tier 3 or higher. Anything below Tier 3 restricts you to ChatGPT-3.5, which is outdated and lacks many functionalities.

Unlike most other LTDs , Tiny Talk requires you to bring your own OpenAI API key to use its features. Worse, it doesn’t even offer free credits to get started—something other LTDs do. Nothing works out of the box unless you add your own API key, not even basic features like website crawling.

2. Website Crawling is Painfully Ineffective

The website crawling feature, especially for WordPress, is a nightmare. I tried it on three different WordPress sites with various plugins installed, but the result was the same: endless “crawling” or “queued” statuses. It took me three days of troubleshooting just to figure out what was wrong, only to realize the solution was flawed.

3. Abysmal Support

Tiny Talk’s support team is one of the worst I’ve encountered. The average response time is 4–5 days, and when you do get a response, it’s vague and unhelpful. The lack of personalized communication—they sign emails as the “Tiny Talk team”—makes the entire experience impersonal and frustrating.

4. No Custom Domain

Unlike other LTDs in this space, Tiny Talk doesn’t support custom domains. This is a glaring omission for businesses that want to maintain their branding.

5. Poor WhatsApp Integration

The WhatsApp integration is costly and impractical. Once you register your WhatsApp Business number, it becomes locked to Tiny Talk, meaning you need to purchase a new number and device for your business. The integration process is manual, time-consuming, and riddled with inefficiencies.

6. Useless Lead Generation Features

Tiny Talk’s lead generation option is laughably basic. When a visitor submits their email, it is stored in the help desk without any notifications—no email, mobile, or browser alerts. Even if browser notifications existed, you’d need to keep the browser open all the time to receive them.

7. No Team Management or Permissions

I purchased the highest Tier (7 codes) with access to 50 chatbots, but there is no way to assign specific permissions to team members. If you plan to sell these bots to clients or collaborate with a team, you’ll find this limitation utterly meaningless.

8. Harmful for Business Use

For businesses, Tiny Talk is more harmful than helpful. The chatbot often pulls answers directly from OpenAI, bypassing your custom knowledge base, even when parameters are adjusted. This means the bot could provide free answers to questions your business charges for, including calculations and other valuable services.

9. Lack of Advanced Features
• No ability to pull images from your site or documents.
• No ability to train on Excel files.
• Limited customization options.

An Alternative?

I recommend Pickaxe AI as a better option, even if it’s not perfect. Pickaxe AI is:
• Professional and clean with a custom domain feature.
• Offers user registration for client bots and Stripe integration.
• Provides free API credits while allowing you to use your own.
• Compatible with nearly all document types and includes robust integrations.

It’s also cheaper and more feature-rich than Tiny Talk, making it a far superior choice.

Final Thoughts

Tiny Talk is not worth your time or investment, whether as an LTD or a subscription. There are far better options on the market.

If Tiny Talk were truly a standout product, it wouldn’t be perpetually listed as an LTD on AppSumo, which signals its inability to succeed as a regular offering. Avoid this app—it’s a costly disappointment.

This deal is a no-brainer

Easy to use and very powerful ! And Tinytalk support team is very reactive.

Suggestion: it would be useful to add text to the knowledge base instead of having to updload pdf documents again and again to adapt bot reactions.

Good Robot

I like everything about this bot, from the easy setup, responsive answers and the ability to fine-tune the responses. I was able to create a bot, upload some documents to the knowledge base and modify the prompt. After a few rounds of questions and answers I felt comfortable enough to send the link to my client for their testing. I was able to watch the testing through the "Help Desk" feature. After another round of questions and answers from my client, the last message from my clients was to thank the bot for providing good answers :-) The bot took the compliment well. There are a bunch of other bots out there, but this one takes the cake.
