Q: Packages (hourly) and hardship subtractions

I offer hourly packages for clients to use. They may purchase a block of 12 or 24 hours. Then they can choose how to use those, whether through 60, 90 or 120min sessions. Some will book 60mins sessions & on occasion, when they need additional support will book 90 or 120. Some clients will book 90min sessions and then eventually shift to 60mins etc. This flexibility is important so the client can choose the level of support that suits them best.
Is there a way to do this in the packages option being developed?

I would love for clients to be able to choose a hardship option which would say subtract $50 from service price.

Is there a roadmap or timeline available for planned features?

A: Thank you for your detailed question!

As mentioned earlier, we are planning to introduce a "Custom Duration" feature for services. This will allow you to set a base duration (e.g., 90 minutes) and offer multiple custom durations (e.g., 60 minutes, 120 minutes, etc.) that clients can choose from. While this will give clients more flexibility in selecting the duration of their sessions, it’s not specifically tied to hourly packages at the moment.

The Packages feature, as we’re developing it, is focused on offering blocks of services or appointments that a client can use. For example, clients could purchase a package (like a gym pass) that includes a set number of appointments (e.g., 16 sessions). Although this is designed to give clients flexibility in selecting their services, the ability to choose specific session lengths like 60, 90, or 120 minutes will be part of the overall service setup, rather than a package-level feature.

Regarding the hardship option to subtract $50 from the service price, unfortunately, this feature isn't something we can currently offer. We don't support applying negative costs at the moment, but we are constantly evaluating feature requests, so that could change in the future.

As for the roadmap and timeline, we don’t currently have a public roadmap available. The feature suggestion page reflects ideas and requests from the community, but it shouldn’t be confused with our official roadmap. We don’t have exact timelines, but we’re always working on improvements and new features.

In this case scenario, could a $50 OFF coupon code be generated to give to a client as a workaround? (following)

Technically, yes. You can create a $50 coupon that your customers can use to reduce the price of the appointment.

At the link below, comments on a "packages" feature being added are over 3 years old! So, I think a timeline for when packages will be added and useable for Trafft users is a very necessary detail needed. Or a refund option, if it is not added in the window of buyers returning the deal and getting a refund. https://features.trafft.com/42

The "Packages" feature is currently in the design phase, and while we’re excited to bring it to Trafft, we can’t provide an ETA just yet.
As the purchase was made through AppSumo, you are covered by their 60-day money-back guarantee. If the feature isn’t released within that window and you decide it doesn’t meet your needs, you can request a refund directly through AppSumo.

The Coupon is a good solution, thank you Luminosity28.

@Aleksandar_TMS: When the packages option becomes available, would it be possible to have a pool of hours that customers can purchase to use on services/appointments as they please? This would be amazing for my use case, and the use case of most coaches, therapists & healers. Most businesses & consultants value their services based on time.

The availability of appointments/services in the packages will depend on employee's working hours and duration of the services - just like it does now. Basically, your customers will be able to purchase a package of appointments they can book later on.
