Q: What's more about trafft than WP Amelia?
What does the agency account mean in practice?

May 15, 2024A: Hi there.
Both tools are great, each for its own group and purpose. Amelia is a booking plugin for WordPress. It does provide a lot of functionalities, and it has been around for a longer period of time so it still has a certain advantage in terms of smaller settings and features, and it is great for people who are technical enough, are ready to pay separately for a server, AWS infrastructure, load balancing, developer to create a website, configure their own daily backups, monitoring, and alerts, ensure database protection, etc.
Amelia is hosted on the server of the client, so all the burden of configuring, maintenance, and upgrades is on the admin’s shoulders. Also, keep in mind that WordPress uses PHP as the core technology, and plugins (that don’t have an external SaaS component) have certain limitations, e.g. mobile apps are not possible, and many integrations cannot be done.
Trafft is a business management and automation service. Over time it will have everything that Amelia has, but it is intended not to work as just forms on your website that are hosted elsewhere. One of the best things is that you don’t have to worry about the technical part, everything is hosted and managed with us and rented to you in the Trafft’s package - the server, the infrastructure, backups, and monitoring.
The agency account is used by people who want to offer Trafft as a booking solution to their clients. As it's provided by you, Trafft's logo is removed so your clients don't see it.
You can also configure custom domains for both the front and the back-end of your client's accounts before you send them the access link, so they log into theircompany.admin.com and **their** customers book from theircompany.com.
Trafft's trademark is, however, visible when logging into Google Calendar, Outlook, Zoom, Apple, and so on, because those services require a custom application in order to connect Trafft. Through the Agency dashboard, you can disable these applications if you don't want your clients to see that they even exist.
