Good deal turned bad with acquisition

If I were to post a review a few weeks ago it would have been 4 tacos for the TrulyWP deal. Unfortunately the site has been acquired by Awesome Website Guys and they have immediately announced the price increase. For me, this is 72% vs what I signed up for via Appsumo and I am truly disappointed. The so called good deal from TrulyWP has turned into a mediocre deal. They still have me as a customer because I needed to switch to their service in about a week or two, but on the long term I will most likely take my business elsewhere.

I know that for people with only one code it’s still a good deal at $79 but if you have stacked more it will quickly add up, making their service similar to what more reputable companies offer.

What’s more, when you switch to flywheel hosting (apparently AWG only handle some management services and billing) you can’t just add more websites yourself. You need to contact AWG to do it. Support is also split between AWG and flywheel where you are redirected back and forth depending on the topic.

All I can say is that I am happy I only stacked 2 codes (I was very tempted to go for 5) with this deal and that I didn’t move all my websites on TrulyWP as I initially wanted.

Acquired! Awesome!

TrulyWP was acquired and are now hosted at FlyWheel at a small fraction of the price! Dual support from FlyWheel and Awesome Website Guys! If you hosted your sites via TrulyWP, make sure that you migrate ASAP! So happy that I picked up this deal!

Noexistent Support. A Belated Review

Their servers may be fast, thanks to Google Cloud, but the support/help desk leaves a lot to be desired.
I submitted a request to install some PHP extensions for my Appsumo-purchased Mailpoet 3.0 to work, but I got no help. Mailpoet worked perfectly on my previous host at WPCloud.ca. Frustrated at the delay and unresponsive--read, dead--support, I was forced to uninstall a perfectly good program which I wanted to use to send out newsletters.
TrulyWP say they're offering "managed" Wordpress. Managed yes, for themselves; for the customer- no management for there's no support when you need it. You are on your own. If something happens to your site, cross your fingers, for they won't be there to back you. They don't even have an autoresponder to answer your email sends, as a common courtesy, so that you know they received your message.
I wish I'd have known about this indifference--read, disrespect--to customers, before buying their so-called managed hosting. Don't make the mistake I made. Go elsewhere. As for me, I'm stuck. If I could get my money back, refunded by Appsumo, as a credit, I'd go with Kinsta.

CATASTROPHIC

I write this review with a heavy heart, and i rarely write reviews, but i hope this serves as a warning for others so they don't have to go through the pain and damage we're experiencing.

I moved over to trulywp after purchasing here a couple of months ago.

At first everything was ok.
The service didn't perform 100% as advertised, but the team was responsive and we got over the line.
We soon noticed discrepancies between what's promised on the deal and on their website, and what's actually delivered. Most notably:
1) Daily backups weren't being done for a month for 2 of the 3 sites we moved over, and at this time are still not conducted on 1 of them.
2)The stats showing up on the backend aren't updated - there are no stats - just labels where the stats might one day appear.

When we asked what's going on we were informed that these are issues that are being handled. We assumed that things would be resolved within a a reasonable few days and didn't sweat it.

Fast forward a month - NOTHING HAS CHANGED

Furthermore we're now seeing increasing amounts of downtime from the sites.
I start every day with 1, 2 or all of our sites offline, following which i have to go through a tedious conversation with their support team to get the site back up. Most annoyingly the support team explains to me that the reality we're experiencing isn't possible, without even bothering to run a test until i send through a screenshot.

For the past 72 hours we're seeing down-times nearing 50%. Trulywp is unable to give any indication of how much longer this situation is expected to continue, however they do confess they're very understaffed for engineering and QA.

At the moment this isn't a hosting company, it's a catastrophe
Sadly I'm able to provide Jetpack emails and logs backing all this up.

Absolute horror customer support

This review is after being on the platform for over 3 months.
After reading all the reviews here, I was convinced this to be a good hosting solution. Well, it wasn't.
My site was down for more than 24 hours. and customer support just asked me to check back after 3-4 hours. again and again.
They were simply nonapologetic and actually rude about whole process.
