Q: GDPR compliance

Hi,
is it compliant?
I see that this is excluded even in the top plan: Data Residency Options
What does it stands for?
Can we use this to collect payment for example for an event site? Just setting up a page with links?

A: Hello, thank you for your question!

We will take some hours to prepare detailed answer, but firstly we will be thankful for fully understanding your needs.
Could you describe your needs widely?

Hi!
GDPR / compliance
UniBee can run in two ways:
UniBee Cloud (we host it)
Self-hosted / open source (you host it yourself)
If you host it yourself, you fully control where customer data is stored and processed. This is how teams with strict GDPR / data residency needs usually handle compliance.

“Data Residency Options”
This means choosing where the data lives (for example, EU-only storage).
That’s not part of the standard cloud plans. It’s done either by self-hosting UniBee or by discussing a dedicated environment.

Using UniBee to collect payments (like event tickets)
Yes. You can create a one-time charge / invoice or a checkout session and just send people that link to pay — you don’t need a full “shop” or subscription.
