A long way to go...

I have no doubt that Upbase will one day be a top tool in the Project management area. However, so far it has many issues, mostly technical and UX issues.

For example, the weekly calendar view, which is my goto view and the reason I migrated from ClickUp to Upbase is painfully slow. Checking a task as completed or moving it around takes forever. This might be related to HTML/JavaScript issues and/or that every single movement must be validated with Upbase's servers, which appears to be slow. The result is a nice interface, that in practice turns out to be sluggish.

Another simple UX issue: in the calendar, they have the "Today" button, to go fast to today's date, as most calendar tools. However, when you start moving from week to week, the "Today" button starts to move around, because besides the "Today" button resides to the right of the current week and their navigation arrows, and the text of the current week changes in dimensions (e.g., "18-24 Sep, 2023" is shorter in length & space, than "25 Sep - 01 Oct, 2023"). So, if you want to move fast to the future, at some point you might inadvertently press the "Today" button, instead of the next week arrows.

And these are just a few of the current UX and technical issues.

FYI, I've been testing Upbase with a M1 MacBook Pro, 16 GB Ram, with Chrome, Safari and Firefox, and where ClickUp was light and fast, Upbase is just too slow.

There are many features missing, however on the upside, Upbase is very receptive to new ideas and every week they launch new features. This is why I won't refund (yet) my purchase and why I am optimistic for their future.

I just hope Upbase's team realizes the UX and the sluggishness is a major issue, and they add it to their top priorities.

Thank you for your detailed feedback, and I apologize for the issues you've encountered. As we continue to introduce new features rapidly, it's inevitable that some bugs may arise. At Upbase, we prioritize quality over quantity and plan to slow down our development pace to ensure smooth operations.

Since Upbase is still in its early stages, it lacks several essential features, including must-have functions like global search, bulk editing, filters, and more. So, we'll be giving top priority to adding these features over the next 1-2 months.

Regarding the loading issue you've experienced in the Weekly calendar, it appears to be a unique problem, as we haven't received similar reports so far. If possible, could you please provide us with a short video demonstration of the issue? This would greatly assist us in gaining a better understanding of the problem and resolving it effectively.

Additionally, concerning other UX issues, such as the Today button, addressing these is a straightforward process. I personally have a very strong focus on UI/UX, and we have numerous UX improvements still on our backlog. If you have any suggestions regarding UI/UX, please don't hesitate to reach out.
