Q: Do you monitor RBL lists❓
Risul_UptimeMonster
Jun 10, 2024A: Yes we do offer this IP blacklist feature. It's in the "Check Module" section.
How often are RBLs checked?

Verified purchaser
It will check based on your plan. For T1 and T2 will check in every 5 minute. And for T3 it will check in every 1 minute
Do you have a list of the RBLs you check.
E.g. like here:
https://mxtoolbox.com/problem/blacklist/

Please check here : https://uptimemonster.com/blacklist
1)
OK.
So you have 40 RBLs.
MXToolbox has 80.
Do you plan to add more RBL❓
What and when?

Verified purchaser
Yes, we do plan to add more RBLs in the future. However, we can't share an exact timeline at this moment as we are still in the initial stages of this process.
👍
2)
I see you're monitoring
◾UCEPROTECT Level 0
◾UCEPROTECT Level 1
◾UCEPROTECT Level 2
◾UCEPROTECT Level 3
UCEPROTECT is a bit of a controversial RBL because they charge a subscription fee.
Can specific RBLs be excluded from monitoring❓

Verified purchaser
No at this moment customization on RBLs checking is not available.
Are you thinking about a functionality that would allow you to disable specific RBLs?
e.g.
The problem is that, for example, UCEPROTECT Level 2.3 can monitor the problem and this applies to the entire server room, not a specific server.
Therefore, the problems reported there do not concern me and I will receive notifications.

Verified purchaser
It's not in our current plan, but we will consider adding it to our feature list for the future.
For me this is a very important function.
For now, there is no way to turn it off individually.
.
Can we turn it off
◾UCEPROTECT Level 2 ❌
◾UCEPROTECT Level 3 ❌
.
And leave only:
◾UCEPROTECT Level 0 👍
◾UCEPROTECT Level 1 👍
Because UCEPROTECT Level 2.3 brings nothing. This applies to the entire Data Center server room, not a single server.
See, for example, when someone monitors a service from OVH, because for a long time UCEPROTECT Level 2.3 has been showing a problem if someone has a server at OVH.
The only problem is that UCEPROTECT Level 2.3 does not apply to a specific server, so there is no point in monitoring it.
After testing RBL monitoring, I see that the ability to 🔛disable and adjust specific blacklists, especially controversial ones such as UCEPROTECT Level 2 and 3, will be needed in the future.
.
In the meantime, Abuse.ro also had a 24-hour outage because they forgot to renew the domain, and the monitoring went crazy🤪
🤔
Therefore, in such cases it would be necessary.
This is strange and sometimes in one day it gives many messages for UCEPROTECT Level 2 and 3.
Yesterday I received about 30 e-mail notifications with the following information from time to time: Incident Started/Incident Resolved
🤔
Interestingly, when I check using https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=blacklist - this IP is not on any blacklist
🤔
Is there any news about the date of implementation of the functionality of disabling unnecessary RBLs❓
🤔
It is troublesome when I receive a dozen or so notifications a day, and for example MXToolbox sends only 1 notification at that time.
