I love Vectera! It is one of my favorite ways to meet with my group.

I have barely test driven this but I am so impressed. I used to use JoinMe because clients didn’t have to download software first to meet with me. Other than that, I preferred Zoom. Then JoinMe started charging and I didn’t use it enough to be worth their fees. So I switched to Zoom. Although it says people can join without downloading their software, it doesn’t work very often. Even so, I really like Zoom except that I can NEVER seem to remember where the Share function is! The free version has always been sufficient for my needs.

In walks Vectera… Clients can join a meeting without downloading software again. Yay! And the Share button is easy to find. Yay, again. Co-browsing? I had never heard of that and it works great. I can let clients do the browsing and like a co-pilot, take over when I need to. Whiteboard? Not sure how much I’ll use that but it looks like a great brainstorming tool. I tested an uploaded document with with a teammate and we both made notes on it. Haven’t tried recording a meeting yet but that will be useful.

I realize some (or maybe all) of these features exist in JoinMe and Zoom as well. However, neither of them have the simple layout of all the resources like Vectera does. As much as I liked Zoom (now past tense), I always felt overwhelmed by all the settings and tools scattered all over the place — I could never find what I was looking for. Vectera’s layout is so intuitive so I haven’t had to ‘read the manual’ yet. And that suits me just fine.

Vectera currently has a very generous free offer of ‘everything’ until June 1st during this COVID-19 pandemic. I thought about just using that but I am so thrilled that I wanted to support them with a subscription. And they rewarded me with an unknown bonus: My ‘billing’ for the AppSumo deal doesn’t start until June 1st so I’m still getting a month free. Sweet!

If you need more than 4 people in meetings, this isn’t for you. But if you meet one-on-one with a client or a few of members of your team, you will love Vectera!

I got up and running without reading any directions, and I am not some super techy guy. We hooked up 3 people, and it all went great. The only thing you need to guard against is an attendee having their volume too high and creating a repeat like loop. Just don't have speakers pointing at the computer.
The white boards were awesome, you can create a bunch of them if you want to. Sharing the computer screen was easy. The design of this is superb. This is really worthwhile to have even just for personal use. Get 5 of your friends together and have a virtual party, you can even record it! We are using it to stream Christmas to our family and have a more reliable meet up space than Facebook. This will be a great business tool. You can log back in and all the white boards are still there. This could be used for You Tube videos too, as you can record say an interview and then download the video, and upload it to You Tube.

The best part of it is to be able to have the calls between the participants only, no additional servers needed.

You connect to each other and that's it.

We had been using Google Meet for a long time. I saw this deal pop up on AppSumo. I did some research and decided to give it a shot. I have to say that Vectera is not our only screen sharing meeting platform that we use now. I like how I can upload documents to the meeting room beforehand and have everything ready in advance. This platform is reliable and I really like the scheduling feature.
