Misleading “Lifetime Access” Offer

This is exactly the misleading part: you do not clearly state that the 100,000-line limit applies only to one project and not to the entire account. The offer is presented as “Unlimited code verifications per month,” which makes it sound like there is no real restriction on usage. If the limit is only for a single project, that should be stated very clearly in the main offer, not hidden in the FAQ or support replies. As written, the listing gives the wrong impression and is misleading to buyers.

Misleading “Lifetime Access” Offer

This offer is very misleading. It claims “lifetime access” and “unlimited code verifications,” but there is actually a hard limit of 100,000 lines of code.

Once that limit is reached, the service effectively becomes unusable. There is no clear way to reset or remove the limit, and no practical lifetime access after the quota is consumed.

Calling this “lifetime” while restricting the total amount of code that can ever be checked is deceptive. Buyers should be clearly informed that the 100,000-line limit is permanent and cannot be reset.
Why
Currently users with restricted access are limited to 5 chat messages with me each week. Please wait and try again...

Hi, thanks for the feedback. The 100,000 lines of code limit is mentioned in the company info box under the heading "Independent verification for code" and is also probably one of the most covered topics in the user submitted questions section.

In the FAQ there is a question about this and there's also one about how you upgrade that limitation.

We have some AppSumo exclusive upgrades - which are also Lifetime Deals - to upgrade this amount. This is from that FAQ:

"AppSumo Tier 2 lines of code addons:

$100 for extra 50,000 lines of code (extra 50%),
$150 for extra 100,000 lines of code (double Tier 2 limit),
$200 for extra 200,000 lines of code (triple Tier 2).

You just need to get in touch with us using the support system in the platform, or sending us an email ([email protected])"

We've tried to make these affordable without affecting our larger Enterprise customers too much.

As mentioned elsewhere the Tier 2 package is an entry-level package of our Enterprise platform, where there are more features and more code intelligence data. It also costs us a lot more in compute. And for these reasons we had to limit the lines of code at that tier.

The Tier 1 on AppSumo is limited by functionality and depth of data, but the lines of code are not limited, so you can sync as much code as you like!

You can downgrade in your AppSumo account to Tier 1 to try this, or please get in touch and we can help you upgrade your Tier 2 limit!

"you do not clearly state that the 100,000-line limit applies only to one project and not to the entire account"

The limit is per account, not per project. You can have as many projects and repositories as you want, the lines of code limit is across all of them at the account level.

After you reach the limit, there is an overage percentage and a 7 day grace period with automated emails from our platform. In that time we can discuss upgrade options with you using the exclusive AppSumo upgrades above. So far many people have gone for the upgrades as they are also lifetime deals, and increase the "account wide" limitation.

Hope this helps!
