For coding, not general LLM use, which makes smaller tiers useful for newbie projects
First, and most importantly for most on here, don't assume this will help you token-optimize for anything but coding projects. That's its purpose.
Second, if you've wanted to try "vibe-coding" then this will be of use. And, small projects will require very minimal nodes coverage, but the repos limit will get you. Of course, just delete the vexp file and re-target the new project to untether. For example, I had a really small web with several interactive pages, and it used 41 nodes and had 40 edges. When I started, I targeted my general projects folder where I store work, thinking it would self-configure. It indexed the whole thing and not just the coding projects. That was clearly over 10k nodes, and so I was stuck on updating future use. When I read the docs page, I couldn't find an option to fix it, despite changing folders, etc. Thus, I targeted Opus at the docs page for guidance. It answered and the fix was produced.
Third, If you think your future entails more coding - or local agents that use your token subs - then this is worth considering to manage those future costs. If you get 15% more throughout per session, given your monthly/annual plan costs, then what's the ROI expectation after a year?
Finally, the setup and adjustment is seemingly simple with VS Code - if you know where to go to find the right instructions. One star off because I found some of this out through reading, trial, and error, not through this AppSumo page or the installation page guidance.

So far so good
Saving money on tokens is a top priority for me. Spending hundreds of dollars monthly means any opportunity to cut costs is incredibly welcome. Although we haven’t used it extensively yet, Vexp shows great promise as a solution, which is why I didn't hesitate to purchase the top-tier plan.
While I appreciate how seamless the tool is to use, I would love to see a more robust way to manage licenses. Manually adding a license to each machine is cumbersome; a member-

Jul 23, 2026Thank you, and especially for going straight to the top tier on trust, that means a lot. If you're spending hundreds a month on tokens, you're exactly who this was built for, and the savings should become obvious as you use it more heavily.
On license management: I sent you an email to get better idea of how you'd like to manage the devices.

Wow! The product is amazing! Support is fantastic!
I can't say enough good things about Vexp and Nicola! I have enjoyed getting it setup and running on my system. The process is not too complicated, but isn't point and click either. Once you get your head wrapped around it, it is straightforward. I'm excited to see how much I can save on tokens going forward as I've been blowing through them more than I'd like.
The other part that has to be mentioned is Nicola - one word, AMAZING! He is quick to respond, knowledgeable with answers and follows up on issues/features faster than I have ever seen.
If you're on the fence, not sure if you should try Vexp out or not, give it a try...and reach out to Nicola, he is AMAZING!!

Jul 21, 2026Thank you so much!! I'll be honest, the kind words about the support mean even more to me than the ones about the product, because being there quickly when something comes up is the part I care about most. And you put your finger on something real: it's not quite point-and-click yet, but once it clicks it's straightforward, and making that first setup smoother is exactly what we're working on. I'm...

Blessing for Large-Scale Enterprise Development
If you are working on enterprise software with complex, interconnected modules, you already know the pain of "token bloat." AI agents usually choke on codebases of this scale. Vexp does exactly what it promises: it saves massive amounts of tokens by fundamentally understanding your architecture.
Here is why this tool is an boon for enterprise-level development:
True Architectural Awareness: Unlike standard text-search tools that just blindly guess, Vexp actually maps out the internal calls and dependencies between modules. It doesn't just read code; it navigates it.
Precise Change Recommendations: For massive codebases, finding the right place to make an edit can be half the battle. Vexp pinpoints the exact, correct location for a change, which feels like a total blessing during complex refactors.
Environmentally & Wallet Friendly: By cutting out unnecessary token consumption, it drastically reduces API bills while keeping your local compute efficient and eco-friendly.
The Real Turning Point: Support
What impressed me the most, however, was the developer support. Nicola went above and beyond by providing a 7-day trial license with an unlimited node count at no cost.
For an enterprise project, this flexibility was the ultimate turning point. It allowed me to safely test Vexp against my actual codebase, prove to myself that the graph-ranked retrieval worked, and accurately calculate my real-world node consumption before committing to a tier.
Verdict
Vexp is an incredibly promising product. Whether you are looking to supercharge your AI developer workflows or put a hard stop on runaway token waste, Vexp delivers.

Jul 18, 2026Thank you, this genuinely means a lot, especially coming from someone working at real enterprise scale. That's exactly where the architectural awareness earns its keep: when the codebase is big and interconnected enough that blind text search falls apart, mapping the actual calls and dependencies is the only thing that holds up. Glad the graph-ranked retrieval proved itself on your real codebase,...

Reduced API cost by 30% in a week
I primarily use the API to access AI services for my projects, and since integrating this tool, I’ve seen a significant reduction in my overall API costs. Over the past few days, it has helped me achieve around a 30% return on investment by cutting down on unnecessary token usage. The tool works by optimizing the context sent to the AI, ensuring that only the most relevant information is included, which drastically lowers the number of tokens consumed during each API call.
This has been especially valuable because API usage fees can add up quickly, and managing token consumption is crucial for keeping costs under control. The setup was straightforward, and the tool provides instant feedback on how many tokens I’m saving, which helps me track the benefits in real time.
Overall, this tool has made my AI development more efficient and budget-friendly without sacrificing performance. For anyone relying on AI APIs and looking to reduce their expenses, I highly recommend giving this a try, it’s nearly paid for itself in just a few days!

Jul 15, 2026Thank you, this is exactly what we built vexp for. When you're paying per token on the API, cutting the irrelevant context is money straight back in your pocket, so seeing a real 30% reduction in a week, and it nearly paying for itself already, is the best possible feedback. And you described the how perfectly: only the relevant context goes to the model, so you stop paying for tokens that were...
