Q: I want to go LIVE with pre-recorded videos to YouTube and Facebook.

I get confused with that CDN thing. For my use case, does CDN thing concern me? Pre-recorded videos going LIVE on Facebook and YouTube. That's it. File size of those pre-recorded videos might be heavy but I'm not sure when that CDN thing comes into the picture.

Another question is, can I do VERTICAL VIDEO FORMAT on Facebook LIVE ? Currently, using my mobile app, most of the LIVEs are in vertical video format. Thanks

A: The best way to go live from file to YouTube and Facebook with Videolinq is by using OBS. We have an article that explains this: https://intercom.help/videolinq/en/articles/4526591-how-to-stream-files-from-obs.
You can use Videolinq to store your file, but since we need the file to "stream" to the console, you will be using our CDN and incur a cost. The alternative is to stream your recorded file from your computer and no cost, and use Videolinq to stream to your social media channel(s), at no cost (beyond the initial cost of the AppSumo plan deal).

Vertical streaming is not supported yet, but it is one of the hot items we have on our road map and plan to release next year!

"The alternative is to stream your recorded file from your computer and no cost, and use Videolinq to stream to your social media channel(s), at no cost" does that mean if I let's say store my-live-video.mp4 file on my computer, instead of google drive/ one drive or upload it to VideoLinq, then I would not need to care about the CDN at all ? Please help me verify, thanks.

One more question though, when I am streaming a video on LIVE, can I voice over as it streams? The idea is let's say as I am showing pre-recorded video on LIVE, I am explaining how I make that film, how to took the shot, composition etc.. Can I do that ? Currently, I believe on streamyard, when a video runs on LIVE, they mute the mic. Thanks

If you stream from your computer with OBS (free) or vMix or Wirecast (Paid software) you can do all that you listed in your question:
- Do it for free at no additional cost
- Add titles
- Mix video sources
- Add voice over

We only provide the video distribution part. There are so many other companies that specialize in paywalls or pay-pay-view. Just Google these keywords and you will see them.

Thousands of influencers and gamers are using these desktop software to create their broadcast. Here is an article how you can use OBS (free software) with Videolinq: https://intercom.help/videolinq/en/articles/4525660-how-to-use-obs-with-videolinq
