Helmuts_HostMariaQ: Request for clarification regarding contractual obligations for X access under AppSumo deal terms
Good morning. I have 2 Vista Social AppSumo accounts: 1 Tier 3 and 1 Tier 4. Your AppSumo listing promised “All current and future social networks” and “All future Custom AppSumo Plan updates.”
Based on that wording, buyers reasonably understood that X would be included. Charging existing AppSumo customers extra for X appears inconsistent with the deal as advertised.
I understand that X’s API/pricing may have changed, but vendor-side cost increases do not alter the terms presented to buyers at the time of purchase. Consumer protection principles generally require advertised offers to be honored as represented.
Please confirm how you intend to resolve this in a manner consistent with the original offer and applicable consumer protection standards.

:) well, not really a fraud :D .. X changed their financial model and started charging for APIs (as I understand) and Visa Social (being a start-up) adjusted. Noone wants Vista Social to go out of business - definetelly not me. We all need to be profitable in the end of the day. Another proof that building software on top of X/FB and others is dangerous :) Still loving and using Vista Social :)) H

If you don’t consider a company changing their terms and conditions that are set at the time of sale then you deserve to be taken advantage of. The only purpose these companies use App Sumo is to get quick funds and word of mouth, we as the first supporters should be provided EXACTLY what we purchase. Regardless of changes to other platforms that is not our financial responsibility!

Of course I don’t want them to close their business.
However for any business to be trustworthy they need to honor their obligations of the what they sold us and what THEY made as the terms and features we were buying into. That’s why these LTD are sold in limiting amount, it’s a hit for them so that they can get early quick funds, while new supporters are provided with full features THEY OFFER!
