codexlazaQ: Before purchasing VoiceDash i want to clear this.
Hi,
Before purchasing VoiceDash, I wanted to test it first, so I tried the free version. The speech-to-text/dictation quality is good, but I found one issue that I need to clarify.
When VoiceDash is active, I can’t remove or hide its icon. It stays visible in my menu bar/taskbar, and my MacBook constantly shows a small hyphen-style icon on the screen. When I hover over it, it shows that the speed feature is active.
I already configured a button so that clicking it activates the speech/dictation feature and shows it in the top bar, but I still can’t remove the extra icon from the taskbar/screen. It keeps blinking and remains always visible.
Is this limitation only in the free plan, or does the same thing happen in the paid/lifetime plan as well?
If you can clarify this, I’ll be ready to proceed with the purchase.

What you’re seeing is not related to the free vs paid/lifetime plan — the behavior is the same across plans.
However, you can hide that small hyphen-style VoiceDash bar on the bottom of the screen. To do this:
VoiceDash Settings → Right-side panel → Turn off “Display Voice Bar”
Once disabled:
* the small bottom screen indicator will disappear
* VoiceDash will still work normally through your hotkeys
* whenever you press your hotkey to dictate, the voice indicator will temporarily appear while recording
* once the dictation is completed, it will automatically disappear again
So you can still use VoiceDash in a much cleaner/minimal way without the persistent on-screen bar showing all the time.
If the indicator still remains visible or continues blinking even after disabling “Display Voice Bar,” please send us:
* a short screen recording showing the behavior
* your device model
* macOS version
* VoiceDash app version

and how can i hide this form task bar?
Are you referring to the VocieDash icon? If yes, the VoiceDash app icon will still remain visible in the taskbar/menu bar/dock while the app is running in the background. This is normal behavior since VoiceDash needs to stay active for hotkeys and dictation to work properly.
Additionally, if you fully close/quit the app and the icon still remains visible in the taskbar, that usually means the app is pinned to the taskbar/dock itself rather than actively running.

Yes, you can hide the VoiceDash icon from the macOS Dock.
Please go to:
Settings → General → turn OFF “Display App in Dock”
After disabling that option, VoiceDash should continue running in the background without showing the Dock icon.
