Can we use dictation to give spoken instructions that are passed as a prompt to generate an output—similar to how BLIP AI (also on Appsumo) Action Mode works?
I tried and failed (just now, asked VoiceDash to formulate the question, it didn't..). But maybe it's already there and i haven't figured it out. Also, the Auto language fails me a lot (it would be better if it's limited to the languages i added, because it sometimes outputs cyrillic stuff which is clearly wrong), i change between spanish and english constantly, having to click the floating widget is painful, i which it could be easier to switch (using my keyborad)

Apr 7, 2026A: Hi! VoiceDash currently works as an AI dictation and formatting tool, not a voice assistant like BLIP’s Action Mode. It converts speech into structured text, but it doesn’t yet execute spoken instructions as prompts to generate outputs automatically.
You can use Custom Prompts or Snippets. For example, you can create a prompt like:
“Rewrite the following as a professional email:”
Then dictate your message after it for use in tools like ChatGPT.
Regarding language switching: when Auto language detection is enabled, VoiceDash automatically tries to identify the spoken language. If you frequently switch between Spanish and English, it may occasionally select the wrong language or script. At the moment, switching languages manually via the floating widget is required.
Your suggestion to limit Auto detection to selected languages and allow keyboard shortcuts would be a great improvement. We recommend adding or upvoting this request on our roadmap so the team can prioritize it based on user demand:
