Definitely feels like an early product
At this point I'm likely to stick with Wispr Flow because it's MUCH more reliable and accurate.
Issues I have experienced multiple times w/ Voicedash in the first few days over multiple devices:
- Transcriptions just straight up not saving, and needing to re-record myself entirely
- Voicedash completely rewriting my words, reordering them, changing the entire tone, structure, or trying to "improve" my speech
- Hotkeys being regularly unresponsive and having to restart the app.
When you use aggressive prompting to try to tell it not to rewrite your words, and when the recording works, and when the hotkeys trigger, it's okay.
But as of right now, I'd personally rather pay more for something that's 100% reliable.

Feb 22, 2026Hi, thanks for your feedback. We appreciate it and would love to ask a few question so that I better understand your feedbacks:
- Transcriptions not saving: In order for the transcription to be pasted an input filed, the cursor should be active on that field. Are you sure you had the cursor active on an input field? otherwise, the transcription will not appear, but you'd still be able to see the transcriptions on the home page. If you can clarify/double check this for us, it would be a great help.
- VoiceDash rewriting your words: I guess you are using a custom prompt which might have confused AI prompting it to rephrase your wordings. Can you please check if you are using a custom prompt? If yes, you might need to adjust/remove that prompt. Without any custom prompt, the AI will purely transcribe what you say without rephrasing or reordering and it will only remove the fillers gaps and fix the grammar.
- Hotkey issue: May I know what device are you using? Windows or Mac? Also, please let me know the version number of the app you have on your device. You can see that in at the bottom of the Settings tab. Also, please note that, the app should be open in the background, if you completely close the app, the hot keys wont work. So, please double check that as well.
- May I know what language do you use often in VoiceDash? That also help us investigate the issue furhter.
