I use VoiceDash every single day. It does exactly what it says. It transcribes your voice and saves you a heap of typing. I'm getting significantly more content out in less time, which is the whole point.

So why 4 stars and not 5? I genuinely considered 3, but the fact that I reach for it daily says enough about its value. There are a few things holding it back, though.

The biggest issue: longer recordings occasionally just vanish. About once a week, I'll record a longer thought, and when I check the backend, it's just a blank entry. The whole thing is gone. That's frustrating when you've just spent several minutes working through an idea out loud.

Transcription speed could also be better. I was a WhisperFlow user previously, and in basic side-by-side comparisons, VoiceDash takes roughly twice as long to process the same recording. We're talking an extra 3-5 or so seconds, which doesn't sound like much, but you can't exit the input box until it finishes. When you're waiting on it multiple times a day, those seconds add up, and it breaks your flow.

No iOS support yet either. I'd love to be able to capture thoughts on my phone and have them waiting for me. Hopefully that's on the roadmap.

Bottom line: VoiceDash is genuinely useful, and I'm not going back. If the team can sort the disappearing recordings and tighten up the transcription speed, this is an easy 5-star tool.
