From Frustration to Five Tacos. Fantastic Support and Big Potential.

EDIT:

In version 1.0.8, most of the issues I previously described have been fixed, so I can confidently raise my rating from three to five tacos.

VoiceDash has truly been a lifesaver for me — it has sped up my workflow several times over and saved me a huge amount of time that I can now spend on other tasks or simply with my family.

I also have to mention the support. After installing version 1.0.8, I experienced a few issues, but the support team really stepped up. After a Google Meet call with Amir, all the problems were resolved smoothly. It’s rare to come across such dedicated support — which is why I recommend VoiceDash even more. As we all know, besides the tool itself, solid technical support is extremely important.

I hope VoiceDash continues to develop at this pace and that it has a very bright future ahead.

I wholeheartedly recommend it — it’s definitely worth taking advantage of the offer while it’s still available.

----------

I’ve been testing VoiceDash for several days, and unfortunately my experience has been mixed.

The most frustrating issue by far is that VoiceDash frequently cuts off the very first word of a dictated sentence — especially if it’s short. I’m using Polish transcription, and this happens regularly. What makes it particularly irritating is that losing the first word often changes the entire meaning of the sentence. I then have to manually type the missing word, which completely breaks the flow and significantly slows down my workflow. For a dictation tool, this is a critical flaw.

The tool also struggles heavily with very short sentences or single words. It often distorts them or even outputs them in a different language than the one spoken. This makes quick commands or short inputs unreliable.

In addition, adherence to the system prompt feels weak. In many cases, VoiceDash seems to ignore what’s defined there, which reduces control and predictability — especially in more structured workflows.

There are also stability problems. Sometimes the keyboard shortcut used to trigger the tool simply stops working. The only fix is to disable and restart the app. That’s another recurring bug I’ve encountered.

For comparison, I tested WisprFlow for 14 days before switching to VoiceDash. Unfortunately, transcription quality and overall accuracy in WisprFlow were noticeably better.

It would also be very helpful to have the option to completely disable autocorrect. In some cases, it causes more harm than good by modifying correctly dictated words.

Finally, the writing speed metric doesn’t work at all in my case. Even after multiple days of active use, the dashboard still shows 0 words per minute, which makes the statistics panel unreliable.

I’m concerned that further testing may reveal additional issues. The frustrating part is that if the problems described above were fixed, this tool could truly be excellent. If these bugs are resolved and transcription quality improves, I would be more than happy to update this review and give it a full five tacos. At the moment, however, it clearly needs refinement, stability fixes, and improvements in accuracy.
