Q: How do I control how quickly a chosen voice in my project speaks?
I’ve downloaded the software today and I’m impressed enough to consider purchasing a lifetime license. But I can’t find guides on how to script my manuscript properly, and especially how to change the speed of the chosen voice in my project. Please help.

Oct 19, 2026A: Hi, thank you for trying Vois Studio—I'm glad you're enjoying it.
To change the speaking speed in your project:
1. Click the engine name beside the speaker icon in the top-right toolbar (for example, “Fast”). This opens Voice Settings.
2. Adjust the “Voice Speed” slider. 1.0x is normal; try 0.9x for a slightly slower reading or 1.1x for a slightly faster one. The range is 0.5x–2.0x.
3. Generate a short passage at the new setting to hear the difference. For audio you've already generated, regenerate the relevant passage; changing this setting doesn't rewrite an existing take.
For manuscript preparation, start with one chapter or a short section. You can use ordinary prose for a single narrator; for multiple characters, type / in the editor, choose Speaker, and assign a voice to each speaker. Use normal punctuation for the rhythm, and /pause when you want a timed silence. /heading lets you add a chapter heading that won't be read aloud.
The video guides are here: https://vois.so/tutorials. Start with “Writing Dialogue Scripts” and “Managing Speakers.”
Are you working with a single narrator or multiple characters? If the speed control isn't where described, let me know your app version and which screen you're on, and I'll help you find it.
