Vois v2.4.0 is here! This is a big update for your audiobooks, podcasts and voiceovers, with improvements shaped by your feedback. Thank you for helping us build it.

🌍 More natural multilingual speech

We've improved pronunciation, accent and delivery across the 23 supported Multilingual languages, with smoother pacing, fewer repeated phrases and more complete narration.

🎙️ Six new voices

Meet Ellis, Mara, Caleb, Nora, Jules and Reed, bringing the core library to 112 speakers. Language and male/female filters, individual portraits and improved Favorites make finding your next narrator or character easier.

✨ Smoother everyday production

Automatic language detection in Listen, plus improvements to audio playback and export, help you keep your projects moving.

These core improvements are included in your existing AppSumo Studio 2.x updates. The additional 100-voice pack receives the same multilingual improvements for tiers that include it.

For cloned voices, use a recording in your script's language for the most natural delivery. Existing clones retain their original recording's accent and language characteristics.

If you tried 2.4 early and couldn't access some language-specific previews, that's now fixed. No reinstall is needed if you're already on 2.4.

I wanted to show you what Vois can help you make, and let you hear the models in context rather than just describe their capabilities.

We built audiobook and podcast demos in English, Spanish, German, French, Hindi, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese and Japanese. You can hear narration and conversations between speakers, and follow the workflow from choosing voices to editing and exporting the audio.

Start with the Subscriber playlist to hear the Multilingual model included in your AppSumo plan. The separate Pro playlist demonstrates Omni, which is not included in the AppSumo tiers.

There’s also an automation side to this. I used ChatGPT with approved local tools and the Vois CLI for voice production, alongside separate tools for the visuals and video editing.

We’ve updated the Vois agent skills so you can explore that workflow yourself. A local-capable AI agent can use the CLI to assign voices, generate speech, manage multi-speaker projects and export audio. You choose the script, language and supported model, then review and approve the production steps.

For example, start with a short podcast intro: ask your agent to propose the voice, model and output file, approve the generation, then listen before expanding to more scripts or languages.

CLI access is included in AppSumo Tiers 2 and 3. The agent needs approved command access on the same computer and OS account as the open Vois app; a chat-only window cannot operate it on its own.

An internal Pro upgrade page became visible due to a development error, which we’ve now fixed. We had been exploring a one-time Pro add-on, but after considering the options, we’re unable to offer it on that basis.

Your AppSumo Subscriber lifetime licence and all included features, limits, support and updates remain unchanged.

Here's a British-accent comparison using the Fast and Expressive engines, plus a quick cough-tag demo. Both engines held the accent fairly well in this test.

For this demo, I used a designed voice created with Pro-only Voice Design/Omni. You don't need Voice Design to try this: Voice Cloning is included in AppSumo Tier 2 and Tier 3, so you can use a clean British-accent recording you have permission to clone, then generate speech with Fast or Expressive.

Results vary by voice and sample, so try a short passage first.
