DigitalfastmindQ: Integration with Shopify
Hi
i see a potential use case, but i don't see any blocks-section code integration with shopify.
We can add the code, but it won't get the parameters for example for the product.
Ideally it should work like this:
-we add the code as a section block via the editor
-it picks the attributes (if any selected) from the missing product page
add to the waitlist
-when the product is back in stock, trigger the automatic email to inform the client about the re-stock
or we can have a trigger to email (manually) if the product won't have more stock
This would fit a real use case scenario for ecommerce :)

A Shopify integration is in fact something that's in the plans.
Quick questions to help us nail the implementation:
- Would you prefer theme section blocks or an embeddable widget?
- How important is the manual email trigger vs. fully automated notifications?
- Any specific product attributes you'd want captured beyond the basics?

1- the embeddable widget maybe harder to customize, so i think a section block 2-variations/attributes are important so we don't get subscriptions waitlist for "product" and not for "product in size SMALL" (that's what we want)
2- about the automated notification it's okay to be sent WHEN qty =>1 but manual can be a message that say "no more restock" or a custom message

Hey! We ended up not pursuing a deeper Shopify integration but you can still embed a Waitlister form on your Shopify pages.
