I actually used Wave.Video to produce a video and basically it is good!

The Good:
Easy to build a video! No experience necessary! The tools are basic and intuitive. Helpful social calendar that could get you inspired to build videos for certain occasions. The music library is filled with AMAZING jazz and rock recordings some of which have superb vocals. Unfortunately, there is no way to search for music by any helpful parameters other than the type of music, which is far too general, when hunting down a selection under the jazz or rock sections. The music library is the best part of this tool! Then, there are the video templates - some are good, really good! But, most look quickly made and are below average. Images seem to come from Upsplash.

The Bad:
Everything could use polish. There are too few transitions to pick from between images/video pieces and the text tool transitions are too few, clunky and need speed controls.

The Ugly:
The landing page builder is sad. Add your logo of any size and it becomes a teeny-tiny representation of itself. The layouts are basic featuring 4 positions for your imposed minimalist copy. Moreover there are no controls over font size or style. Basically, you get a poorly proportioned logo space, a few lines of text without any styling and your video on a white background. This add-on feels like it was built as a junior high school project.

Verdict: Good for kids, high school projects and maybe a realtor looking for a quick way to throw together their static images with Wave.Video's transitions, text, and music to add a bit of magic to a listing. I did not try automatic captioning - that could be awesome if it works.

This tool has potential! But, currently it has too big of a price tag considering the competitors in the space. I quickly looked at the explainer video maker provided in this deal and liked it. I hope the best for them! I enjoyed building a single video in record time. Thank you for the deal!
