Q: WhatsApp campaign to 60,000 contacts – delivery time estimate
Hi,
I plan to send a WhatsApp message to ~60,000 contacts to announce an event. How long after launch until all (or nearly all) contacts receive it?
Please confirm:
- Current send rate on WhatsApp (per number/account/template) and any throttling/queues.
- Our account tier/quality rating and how it affects throughput.
- Template approval status/time if a new template is needed.
- Typical timing for sent/delivered/read and real-time status availability.
- Handling of temporary failures and retry policy.
- Opt-in requirements you enforce.
- Monitoring options (dashboard, webhooks, exports).
- Costs per message/country (if relevant).
Goal: A delivery time estimate based on your default settings and any limits/pacing that apply.

Edited Aug 11, 2025A: First of all please follow these guidelines, while sending messages:-
1. Send utility-focused updates only to users who have opted in. DO not do cold reachout
2. Pace it out. Limit each WhatsApp number to sending no more than 150–200 messages per day. If you need to send more, consider using multiple WhatsApp numbers to distribute the volume.
3. Personalise each message (e.g., “Hi Anurag—you’d asked about the Ignite video, so here it is.”).
4. Send helpful content, reminder, confirmation instead of generic promotions.
5. Warm up new numbers before sending messages. Do not use completely brand new whatsapp numbers.
- No Template approval is needed, you can started sending rightaway
- No per message fees besides the one time charge you pay here for LTD
- You can check status of messagers under "Reports" tab
- Between each message, we have 5-15s of gap.
