No, Whelm is not a bookkeeping software, so we don't offer those features. However, you can integrate your Stripe account with your bookkeeping software to automate those functions.
Q: I purchased this software and like the simplicity of the UI.
However, I’m wondering if there’s a way for me to use this with my team members as well. For example, my video editor. I only see an option to work with a client. I’d like the option to not add him as a client, but instead use the platform to communicate, request edits, etc. Right now I’m using Notion, but it’s way more complicated than your platform. Does the software support this use case? I see the verbiage on the page is for a freelance business, but does that mean strictly solopreneur? If not, how would I use the platform as described?
A: Hi sean5632! Thank you for your questions and your complements!
Yes, you can add team members to your projects on Tiers 2 and 3! While the Whelm platform was built specifically for freelancers, we do offer the ability to add teammates so you can collaborate with subcontractors and team members on your projects.
Q: I bought this product and I have one simple question.
I am from India. Is there anyway existing or planned to be added, so that I can send invoices from India? When I try to create invoices it asks me to connect to stripe, and when I do connect it creates an US account in stripe and there after stripe doesn't allow changing the country.
I have received confirmation via that it can't work in India, but just trying to be sure.
As we confirmed in our email communications, Stripe does not allow for users to enabled a Connected account in India. This is an issue we have brought up with Stripe, but for now they don't have a solution for this issue.
We hope to be able to build out a solution to allow for payments for our Indian users in the future, but for now it is not within our scope.
Q: Does it have any expense tracking, financial reports, simple profit and loss?

Q: Are the fees on-top of stripe fees when you integrate it?

May 15, 2024A: Nope! Those are the Stripe fees.

Q: Website creation is missing :-( Do you plan to add this feature?
Chipper_Whelm
May 15, 2024A: No, we do not plan on adding a website builder to Whelm. That's really outside of the scope of what our tool does.
