I honestly can’t quite understand why there are only two reviews here at the moment and why one of them is so bad. I just bought Tier 1 and think the software makes a very good overall impression. I uploaded a video initially, and it produced really good shorts; the cuts all fit very well, so overall they improved my entire video significantly without me having to intervene manually. My video was completely in German. And everything was correctly captioned and looks really good.
As mentioned here and there, I would, however, like some additional features. These include, above all, the following features: - Automated eye detection so that you always look at the camera. - Unfortunately, you can only upload one large file (what does not really make sense, especially with the 5 GB upload limit, which is not enough if you want to upload longer videos). My videos, however, always consist of many small files, even without audio. I would like it if you could create a project to add your files there and then cut a large video from them. The main purpose of the software should not be just to create Shorts. - That naturally also includes a truly good video editor with a timeline and transitions.
I really hope that, in the future, work will continue on the software and that it will continuously improve.
I've been using Wisecut since the early days, across both my personal projects and professional work, and I genuinely believe it deserves far more credit than it's currently getting.
When I saw the AppSumo deal was back, I jumped on it – partly because I wanted to support a tool I've relied on, and partly because I noticed the old review page (which had a lot of well-deserved 5-star reviews) was gone. That felt unfair, so here I am.
Wisecut has consistently helped me turn long-form video into clean, social-ready content faster than anything else I've tried. The AI-powered cuts, auto-captions, background music, and reframing tools have saved me countless hours – whether I'm editing a client project or a personal video.
Is it perfect? No tool is. But the team is clearly listening and improving. When I've had questions, support has been responsive, and looking at the founder's replies to feedback, it's clear they take criticism seriously and are actively working on the roadmap – including things like larger upload limits and deeper caption customization.
For creators, marketers, educators, and anyone who needs to move fast without - Wisecut is a solid and good choice. I've seen what it can do over time, and the direction it's heading makes me even more confident recommending it.
Don't let a low rating fool you – the tool is worth it.

Hi Adam,
Thank you so much for this thoughtful review.
It means a lot coming from someone who has actually used Wisecut across real projects over time, both personally and professionally. That kind of feedback carries a lot of weight because you’ve seen what Wisecut does in practice, and how much the product has evolved since the early days.
You’re absolutely right that Wisecut is not perfect,...
Disappointing Experience – Not Ready for Professional Workflows
I wanted to like Wisecut, but it doesn't quite meet the needs of a professional workflow.
My biggest hurdle was the 5GB upload limit, which is too restrictive for high-quality client projects. To try and integrate this into my existing process, I attempted to pull files directly using Google Drive links, but the projects consistently failed to process. I eventually had to upload my footage to YouTube first just to get the link to work, which added an unnecessary and time-consuming step to my workflow.
Once I finally got into the editor, the experience was lackluster. There is very little flexibility when it comes to customizing fonts or changing caption styles—which is a major hurdle for professional work—and the long wait times for downloads were frustrating.
I truly wish the team the best, but this is definitely not the tool for me. If you are looking for a much more capable AI cutting tool on AppSumo right now, Reap is the best option I have seen so far if it's still available.

Hi Claxxiq, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We take this seriously, and I want to address each point clearly, especially because this does not reflect the experience we aim to deliver with Wisecut.
I want to start with the download/rendering point because we reviewed the export activity related to this issue, and it looks like the export did not complete normally at...
