Q: When someone scans your QR code, does it download a .vcf contact, add a Wallet pass, or offer both?
I have several of these LTDs, whether it’s ELK QR, Wisery, or a similar digital business card service, they often offers these here:
1. View profile
2. Save Contact (vCard)
3. Add to Apple Wallet / Google Wallet
AND those are all separate actions, so how do I set that up.
On the Online Card I can show the profile, right? But on the Wallet Card do I click on the LEFT button to get the vCARD ((.vcf- file)) and do I click on your RIGHT side option to get the WALLET Card Option, because they are different things I am learning.
GPT SAID THE FOLLOWING ABOUT THAT (see the below/attached question)

Jun 1, 2026A: Hi! You add your card to Wallet, similar to a boarding pass. It has a QR code. When someone scans the QR code, the QR code can open "save to contacts" (vCard):
* iPhone → Contacts
* Android → Contacts / People
Your Wallet card can be updated at any time, but not contacts previously saved

GPT SAID:
1. Contacts App (Address Book)
This is where people store:
* Names
* Phone numbers
* Email addresses
* Websites
* Addresses
When you save a vCard (.vcf), it normally goes into:
* iPhone → Contacts
* Android → Contacts / People
This is the traditional digital business card.
⸻ AND
2. Apple Wallet / Google Wallet
(SEE the FOLLOWING)

2. Apple Wallet / Google Wallet
These were originally created for:
* Credit cards
* Boarding passes
* Event tickets
* Loyalty cards
* Membership cards
But now they can also hold:
* Digital IDs (in some regions)
* Business passes
* Digital networking cards
* Custom wallet passes
A wallet pass is not the same thing as a contact.
A Wallet pass is like a mini website/card that sits in Wallet

Do you offer both?
Which Is Better?
For exchanging contact information:
✅ Contacts / vCard is the standard.
For branding and ongoing engagement:
✅ Wallet pass is often better because:
* It can be updated later.
* The user doesn’t have to resave your information.
* You can change links, phone numbers, promotions, etc.
