Wiz Write has been positively received by customers for its real-time transcription accuracy, user-friendly interface, and seamless integration with AI actions. However, some users have experienced occasional issues with distant speech transcription and language translation accuracy. With an overall rating of 4.5 and a 60-day money-back guarantee, Wiz Write remains a solid choice for those looking for efficient voice-to-text transcription.

Not always usefull

I originally bought WizWrite to transcribe speech from videos, for example, on YouTube. When I speak directly into the microphone, WizWrite transcribes the text relatively accurately. However, recording speech from a distance, such as from a television, or recording a YouTube video played back through an external device, works very poorly. A large portion of the speech is either not recorded at all or transcribed completely incorrectly. If the recorded speech is also to be translated into another language, the translated text often bears no resemblance to the original, resulting in a complete loss of meaning. I get the same result when I upload a pure audio file from a video or podcast.

The automatic speaker detection doesn't work at all; everything is lumped together into an endless stream of gibberish.

So, for directly recorded speech that needs to be transcribed—which is what WizWrite is actually designed for—it's quite good, but unsuitable for other purposes.

Thank you for the review but I think it is a little unfair. It is like saying a knife is great for cutting vegetables but if I try to hug a knife I feel pain. We make no excuse on focusing on one area of productivity for the tool, it isn't meant to be used for those other things.

Innov

When have you wanted the convenience of having something that can get your thoughts right into text quickly? I mean this is beyond innovative and time saving. This could replace so many physical and digital tools at once for writing, getting down thoughts or taking notes.

seems amazing

I just bougth it and did a little testing and it seems amazing!
I just tried two things: 1. letting wizwrite send an invoice with a specific json format (which it would send as a webhook) i just explained it in plain text and yes it did exactly what i said!!!
then i tried what i really need, i wanted to format my voice a little bit do some special things before and after my message and send it as a webook, so it gets uploaded as a .md file in my knowledge database. and yes it worked with the first try. the formatting is perfect. a lot of the KI stuff does additionall irrelevant stuff. I have to admit i just tested about 4-5 voice messages but everyone was with 100% precise.

What could be improved:
- more possibilities with the KI Prompt and the webhook: For example i want not only to send the datas for the obsidian-file i also want to send the title of the file. I cannot send a dynamic title (only a static one is possible right now, which would be always the same, which is not good). so it would be nice if i could use the KI here too (like "create a title of the voice note and use it as a varibleX and then i can use variableX in the second webhook field, or sth. like that)
- A native android app (which will come hopefully very very soon:)

Is there a pilot in the plane?

Last week, I wrote to support - via chat - to find out if it would be possible to access the content of the default prompts to create custom prompts in our native language.

Indeed, it is specified in the documentation that, to obtain outputs in our native language, we must create personalized actions (prompts).

However, if we cannot access the prompts that are triggered via the actions made available in WizWrite, this implies starting from scratch, since we must create everything ourselves!

Problem: I waited several days and relaunched them, I see today that, not only have I still not received any response (except the robot that told me every day that the team is not available and will get back to me soon...), but, the cherry on the cake, the one-way "conversation" has been deleted from the chat.

I am the persistent type, so I started again and also sent them my question by email, but, if I do not quickly obtain a satisfactory answer, I will ask for a refund, which I do extremely rarely.
