I'd like to know if the same email address can be used for the free trial on your site AND a subsequent Appsumo purchased account. I hate to go through hurdles and using a different email account if I buy on appsumo. Thanks

I'm not with Wope. Just another sumo-ling here! Some of the offers found on AppSumo are only available to new account holders. So, if you're trying to evaluate a product during a free trial with the intent of buying from AppSumo, you will DEFINITELY want to create a throw-away account for your free trial, and then use your intended address when you make your purchase. I seem to recall the people from Wope saying you could add an AppSumo deal to an existing account, but I'm not 100% sure.
